I went to brunch on a Sunday with the girlfriends. They have a good special for brunch... 19.95 for unlimited drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic...We waited a long time to get drinks... the waiter seemed very busy....the food was good...and its kosher so thats a plus...Make sure you are patient when you go... cuz you might be waiting for awhile.... Pros: Kosher, Good value, Good brunch Cons: Slow service more

Poor service, just okay food 2/14/2007

The service here is the worst I've had of any restaurant in the city. Expect to wait forever and a day for your food, and don't expect your waiter to refill your water or check in on you at all. We actually tried to pay for our drinks and leave to get dinner elsewhere after waiting an hour with no food and no explanation for why it was taking so long, but our request to get the check was refused, because our meals were coming out ""any minute now."" We also had a certificate for a free bottle of Merlot, but they only gave us a glass and then proceeded to charge us for it. The food is nothing special and I would never wait that long even if it was. Pros: Location, prompt seating Cons: Inattentive wait staff, long wait for meals, overpriced more

HORRIBLE service and so-so food 1/15/2007

I went here a few weeks ago for my Grandma's Birthday & my parents Anniversary. Our large party waited almost AN HOUR for our food to come~ which wasn't even worth writing home about. They had one vegetarian option on the menu for dinner (which was the most bland pasta dish I've ever had in NYC) and my family members weren't too impressed with what they ordered (Steak, Duck, etc.) What really ruined the night was the poor attitude of our waiter who was completely unappologetic throughout the evening. When we ordered the molten chocolate cake (the only delicious thing I ate that evening) and it too took forever to come my cousin asked for the waiter to come to the table and he brought over a menu to point out to us that it takes 15min to prepare...!!!! (It was well beyond 15 minutes) For such an ""upscale"" kosher restaurant, they REALLY need to hire better servers. Here's another example of what a *wonderful* staff they have at Park East: when the cake finally arrived to our table, the waiter handed my cousin and his wife (who are in their late 20s) the cake that said ""Happy 25th Anniversary"" which obviously belonged to my parents -- what an idiot. Bottom line: There are better kosher restaurants in the city and Park East needs to revamp their waitstaff ASAP. Pros: nice wine list Cons: average food, no veg. options, bad mojito, WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED (esp. considering it wasn't that busy-- it was a Tues. night!) more

delicious! 12/26/2006

The food was GREAT - the short ribs were perfectly marinated and the meat was tender/juicy, duck spring roll appetizers were also good, didn't skimp on the meat. The service unfortunately was not so great for my experience...our waiter forgot to bring our wine and we had to ask repeatedly and instead of an additional side we ordered, he made it a substitution on part of my entree. No one ever came by to check that we were doing okay or refill our water glasses and since we were seated in the back corner we spent most of dinner trying to get someone's attention. Despite that, the food was good enough that I'd go back to give their service a 2nd chance. Pros: amazing food Cons: lacked attentive service more

Delicious - By Any Standards 11/4/2006

I recently had dinner here with my spouse to celebrate our third wedding anniversary - the food was great, the waiter was nice & our mixed drinks (we did not order wine) were good. The desserts were good - including the strawberry shortcake - the food is yummy by all standards. If I was not familiar with the rules of koshrut, I would not have known that certain items were non-dairy. I intend to come back next month. Pros: Delicious food (for observers & non-obsevers of Koshrut); the decour is quite nice and faces out onto second avenue. Cons: Expect to spend a few shekels. more

I have been here multiple times for various occasions and I have to say it is consistantly good. I have come with friends and they are hooked afterwards. The food is great, the waiters are always friendly, and I have never felt rushed. more

Great Overall ! 9/27/2004

I recently dined at a very nice outdoor table at Park East Grill. The planters and beauiful floating candles on each outfoor table were the perfect touch. The strawberry mojito was one of best and most creative cocktails I ever had. The Chickpea pancakes appetizer was delicous and had one of the nicest plate presentations I have EVER seen. My 22oz rib steak was cooked to a perfect Medium Rare (as i had requested) and the meat was so juicy and tender. My Fondue dessert was delicous and the perfect end to a great meal. I highly recommend !! Pros: Huge Scotch List, Discount Parking, Outdoor seating more

GREAT FOOD !! 11/6/2003

I had the best steak of my life at the Park East Grill. It was the 14oz fillet, and it was so lean, juicy, and flavorful. I inquired as to how it was so delicus and was told that all the meat used is prime grade meat and is aged as well. The desserts were amazing as well. Pros: great meat, great desserts, nice decor Cons: hard to get a table more

Hot Spot 11/1/2003

I ended up here at a dinner party for a friends birthday and was shocked that i had never heard of it. The atmoshphere was great and the food was even better. The menu offered such a great mix of dishes that i had trouble choosing, but I was VERY happy with the duck breast I had for my entree', and i also ate some of my friend's veal chop (amazing). To top it off, the good looking staff offers great service. I will be back soon !! Pros: great service, good variety, atmoshphere Cons: hard to get a table more

Best food ever! 9/13/2003

I recently visted Park East Grill and was most impressed. They told me they only opened a couple of weeks ago and i was shocked. The service was excellent and the decor was absolutely stunning, it looked like something you'd find down in SoHo. I had the Park East Fillet wich was incredibly succulent and oozing with flavour. I honestly think it was the best meat i've ever had! For dessert i had the the mouth watering pear, almond and fig struddle which was accompanied with vanilla bean ice cream and a a brown sugar brandy sauce. The taste was to die for! Overal i had a truly scruptous meal and have definate plans to return to Park East grill in the very near future. A dinning must!! Pros: Great bar, Good ambience, Attentive service Cons: Closed Friday night more
