Fun theme park 10/22/2005

Sometimes, living in SC, it's easier to drive to CHarlotte and visit Carowinds than it is to drive to Atlanta for Six-Flags. Carowinds is nice. Alot of kids here all the time, usually on school field trips, especially for band and cheerleading because of all the band and cheerleading competitions they have at the ampitheater. Large variety of rides and something is definitely here for everyone. As with all amusement parks, food and parking are expensive, so maybe bring a pick nick lunch or stop at fast food on the way in rather than spending $7 on a hamburger here. more

Perfectly fun amusement park 10/8/2005

Carowinds is in the greater Charlotte area and is just a wonderful place to visit if you're too far north to travel to Six Flags in Atlanta, and don't have the desire to visit Walt Disney Land in Florida. Carowinds has the general run-of-the-mill amusement park staples of fun, which is to say there are many rides that go very fast and are not for the faint of heart. Perfect place to take your family, especially if you have kids or teenagers. Many local Coca-Cola bottlers offer discounts on the back of their cans, so keep an eye out for these discounts if you are in the South, as they're seen quite frequently and can get you a couple of dollars off the cost of admission. more

Whee~It's like Six Flags, only further North 9/30/2005

Oh my! All the time when my daughter was in school the fieldtrip of choice was to go to Carowinds. Band went to Carowinds. Cheerleaders went to Carowinds. Footballers went to Carowinds....so be prepared to be in the park with large numbers of Middle and High Schoolers when you go to Carowinds. It's not a bad theme-park. It's closer to us than Six Flags in Altanta is, and much closer than Disney. Expect to pay about $20 a person to get in, but keep an eye out for soda cans that have discounts on them. They're everywhere and usually can knock $5 or so off your admission price. The rides are standard fare---some roller coasters, the ship that swings, the zoom-zoom things, the flip-u-upside down....Honestly...once you've been to one amusement park, you've been to them all. more

Fun & Frolic ! 8/16/2005

This park is situated on the boundary of NC & SC & features atleast 50 different type of kids, family, thilling & exciting rides, shows to entertain all ages. Borg Assimilator & Top gun being the most exciting of all for me & my friends. It also has a state of art water park with many rides leaving you wet with fun & frolic. Its like a complete 1 day entertainment & thrill package for your family on a summer weekend. I also got the offer of second entry free on my pass that is very exciting. Parking lot is huge. more
