1st Timer's 1/2 Day Review 7/25/2010

I have always wanted to attend a nudist resort, just to see what it would be like. My Wife expressed an interest but wasn't sure she would actually take her clothes off. We had a Friday off together and the "clothing optional" part was enough to get her to go. First timers sign in at the office filling out a form so they have some idea of who you are. The office staff was very polite and answered all of our questions. We parked our car and noticed an unclothed man walking toward what we found was the entrance to the pool. We kept our bathing suits on and brought our beach bag with towels and suntan lotion with us. It is not permitted to bring drinks or coolers into the pool area but that really isn't a problem (I'll explain soon). Men and Women of all shapes and sizes were sunning, swimming, talking, and laughing. There are two pools and two Hot Tubs in the main area. One hot tub is indoors and because it was so hot out, seemed to be unused. The Main pool has a depth of 5.5 ft. so people hung out on the edges socializing. The smaller pool is a "Conversation Pool" for Adults who want to socialize. The Tiki Bar serves all kinds of drinks from full liquor to sodas. The prices are very reasonable so not being able to bring our own was not a problem. I decided that having a bathing suit on actually felt wrong so I took it off and applied sunscreen to be safe. My Wife was more reserved and wasn't convinced. The sun was hot and I went up to get us some drinks. When I came back my wife had removed her clothes. You just feel like it's OK to leave that stigma behind when there are so many other people doing it. One other thing you should have is pool shoes, or sandals, flip flops. The concrete will burn your feet on a hot day. The 3 hours we spent there flew by. If we hadn't had a later commitment to attend, I'm sure that we wouldn't have left. We're looking forward to the next time and we'll sample more of what this fabulous place has to offer. If you are questioning whether this is right for you, I can honestly say that this is one of the best low pressure environments you could possibly go to. Pros: No pressure, incredible sense of freedom... Cons: We're not living there... more

Great People and Great Place 7/8/2009

The staff is great, but it is the residents of the community that make it fantastic. On our first visit we were invited to a private brunch at a condo, we were welcomed in like regulars. The pool area is just such a relaxing and chill environment, but again it is the residents and regulars that make it so comfortable and welcoming. This is the most friendly and warm group of people I've ever experienced. Pros: Incredible Value on the Condos Cons: I can't get there more often! more

Truely Paradise 7/8/2009

Upon arrival the first smiling faces you'll see is either Sylvia or Sarah in the office at check in. They will happily answer ANY questions that you'd have. They will make you feel so comfortable that you can't wait to drive throught those gates into Paradise!! We have no experience in the condos, motel rooms or the platform tents, because we have a travel trailer and camp in Sunny Circle most of the time. There are updated pads, water and electric hookups are more than adaqute to handle even the largest RV. They are working very hard to complete many projects at the Valley. The staff is the BEST, they will stop and talk to you, give you a smile, and answer any questions, or address ANY concerns that you may come across. The grounds are well kept, the pools and hot tubs are well maintained. The parties are fun, you'll be surprised at how excepting everyone is, it's truly a nonjudgemental place. Some of the DJ's need to update their selections but just ask and they will try. The only draw back is that the Valley is becoming so popular that they can't keep enough available chairs at the pool. They are trying very hard!! The Tiki Bar and observation deck, new RV sites, new road to New Condos, Platform tents, are the latest updates that the "New" owners have completed, they have some real neat ideas for the future of the Valley. Come and see for yourself. Pros: 45 mins to 1 hr. to stress free weekends Cons: That you have to go back to the "real world" more

A Weeks Vacation in a WEEKEND 7/8/2009

This is a very special place with very special people I have been a member for 1 year now I look forward to this place every weekend. I often say it is a weeks vacation in a weekend. There are NO PRESSURE to take your clothes off people accept you the way you are. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT. Pros: 3 great pools, 2 great hottubs, Volleyball court Cons: There are NO DRAWBACKS more

The Place to go for total stress relief 7/8/2009

3 pools, 2 full service bars(one is an outdoor Tiki bar on a huge deck that is pool side), great dances, great people, hiking trails, condos, and they have new "platform tents" are are fully enclosed like small one room cabins. All you have to bring is your sleeping bag and a couple of towels and you are in for the best time of your life! Prices are surprisingly reasonable, this is a resort you don't want to miss. But the best thing about PV is the people, staff and guests, they are all super. As a first time skinny dipper, you couldn't ask for a better place to try it. No pressure, you are allowed to dress, or undress to your own comfort level. Pros: Great staff, Great people, Great facilities Cons: I can't be there everyday! more

Excellent place to relax and get away. 7/8/2009

Paradise Valley is a great place to get away. Close to Atlanta so my entire day is not spent driving. The resort is close to a lot of other amenities, stores, and restaurants. The 3 pool areas are clean and there are sufficient locations to find shade as well as sun during the day. Most important, management is engaged in making the property, as well as the experience of visiting the resort, very inviting. The atmosphere is safe, inviting, and friendly. A great place to relax and get recharged for the work week. Pros: Nice people, conscientious management, clean and ample pools Cons: current situation is going through growth and renovations more

Heaven on Earth 7/8/2009

My husband found this place while looking for a place to go camping. First he mentioned the camping to me, than the fact it was clothing optional. We met the most wonderful, non judgemental people we have ever met. We were hooked. We bought a trailer, membership and a couple of new towels for the pool and off we went. Between the staff, the pools, hot tops, members and wonderful food that is there we hate going home. Not only have the people become dear to our heat, the staff has as well. It is a wondeful place to spice up your boring weedends and mingle with great people. It has become out extended family and mountain get away. It will only take one visit to hook up, I guarantee..... Pros: Meeting great friends Cons: When the weekend is over more

Great place to relax and have fun 7/8/2009

This place has a great pool to relax in on hot summer days and if you decide to stay for the night the dances are a lot of fun. The members are very friendly and welcoming to all newcomers. Highly recomend that you give it a try!!! Pros: Friendly People/Great Facilties Cons: None(unless people without clothes offend you) more

Paradise Valley -- A Dream Reality 7/8/2009

Having been a member for several years, Paradise Valley continues to grow both personally and as a terrific clothing optional club. Since new ownership earlier this year, new construction, improvement of existing facilities and member growth has taken place with lightening speed. The new Tiki Bar and Deck serve as the centerpiece for t he resort, with a side high tower to sit, relax and enjoy the view. Accomodations continue to grow from the beautiful condos to the planned residential community in the future. Homeowners in the current residential area are improving their facilities, their grounds, and the overall appearance. The one thing that truly stands out -- the people who live, visit and enjoy Paradise Valley are a special group unto their own. Seems like when you enter the resort, you leave worries at the gate, and then enjoy the sun and fun each and every day. My partner and I have enjoyed Paradise Valley for so many weekends that we have decided to build and make Paradise Valley our retirement heven. Come one and all, come to enjoy, come to laugh, come to get a tan, come to build wonderful memories. Pros: People, Fun, Relaxation, New Facilities, Wonderful Conversat Cons: Having to go home after a wonderful visit more

Great Fun. Super Pool areas (3 pools & 2 Hot Tubs) Wonderful Clothing Optional resort & Spa 10/20/2007

Paradise Valley's Bear Cheeks lodge is super fun on Friday and Saturday nights. Clothing Optional means exactly that, you don't have to take off your clothes, but I bet you will end up doing so. Come out to a great resort and find out what real relaxation is all about. This is a family oriented resort with couples, singles, and some children from time to time. We felt safe and comfortable after the first hour or so. What great fun, and what wonderful people visit the resort. Come out and join the fun! The resort has a great hiking trail, deer and turkey are out most days. Enclosed pool and hot tubs for those cool days, open air pools (2) and an open air hot tub for conversation and socializing. Full service bar and dance floor for super Friday and Saturday night parties that run all year, so that is a great time to try it out, come out at night for the night life. You can feel safe and secure while you decide if you want to try skinny-dipping again :) Motel rooms are small, rental "park models" are older and small ... like mobile homes... but the new condo units are done and many are available for rent, they are great and there is also the two "hilltop suites" that are superb. Pros: Great people of all ages, beautiful mountain valley setting and super pool areas Cons: some rooms are small, go for the condo units or hilltop suites .. or bring your tent or RV more
