I recently relocated to Denver from New York City and was looking for a stellar dry cleaner. I hoped to find that in Paradise Cleaners on 17th street, but that was not the case. I used the same dry cleaners in New York City for 9 years and NEVER had a single issue. In the 3-4 months of taking my clothes to Paradise, I had 3 issues with them -- one inadequate cleaning to remove a simple stain and two lost shirts. I only recently noticed the 2nd shirt that was lost by them, as I hadn't worn it since I started visiting my new dry cleaners. Their system doesn't show that I dropped either shirt off, but it somehow had to have been lost onsite or at their plant. I have a small apartment and it's not in there at all so there's no place for it. What was worse was the flippant customer service I received from the manager/owner, I think it's Gary. Evidently it was my responsibility to check my pick-up before leaving the premises, but since it didn't appear to be in their system, I'm not sure it would have been there. I don't have a problem with this but generally suggest they provide a more detailed inventory list on their customer's slip when dropping off to help dispute charges. Gary indicated that he had double and even triple-checked both their store and the plant, no luck, and refused to entertain a conversation about even partially reimbursing me for my lost item, now lost items, again all in a flippant tone. I spend a lot of money on my clothes and expect that those who treat them will do so with respect and with me in return. Not the case with anything but Paradise cleaners.
Pros: convenient location
Cons: poor customer service
