Selection Good, Service Not 8/4/2007

I placed a simple order of 25 casual wedding invites. Paper Presentation botched every step of the way. Their printer broke the day my proof was to be processed, no one informed me of this and I wasted my time going in person. They asked that I drop off additional ribbon, which was not used (additional trip to the store). The invites were a week later than projected and I was given only 24 reply cards. Seriously inept. more

Paper still matters 3/19/2006

Oh I love this place. If you're making invitations for an event, need personal stationary, or are a scrap booker this place is indispensable. Also, if you have a passion for older writing styles they have a good selection of quills, fountain pens and inks, as well as a decent collection of sealing waxes (although their seal options are weak). So whether you're getting married, want to pretend to be Jane Austen or are suddenly writing an epistolary novel, come here. and while the prices are good, be prepared to spend a lot of money, because you'll just see one thing after another you want. more

A Paper Emporium 3/15/2006

I didn't know until very recently that West 18th Street was a paper lovers dream. Paper Presentation has just about everything you need whether you want pre-fab or to start from scratch on a project (I am surprised they don't sell pulp). I spent so much time looking at the cards (to get ideas for making my own) - there are rows and rows of them and they all are a bit different. There are sections for kids, scrapbookers, card makers, amateurs, artisans - you name it. I loved just looking around. The prices were good - especially on pens - and they have a little sale wall on the west side of the store in the middle (i.e. dead between the 18th & 19th Street doors). I am thrilled that I now know about this spot. A gem. more

Creative Minds Come In 8/31/2005

Paper Presentation is another good alternative to Kate's Paperie. Focused on the same customer bunch. The store specializes in different types of papers for invitations to weddings, showers, parties, housewarming, and etc.In addition to papers they do sell premade invitations and also supplies for scrapbook ideas. They even sell embossing and shape punchers. What I liked about Paper Presentation than Kate's Paperie is the atmosphere, the crowd seem less uptight plus they had more card options and the price may had been slightly cheaper. The only disadvantage is that their paper supplies seems a bit limited compared to Kate's. They didn't have really unique paper that I was trying to look for. However they do have a good variety of "regular" paper to work with. more

Paper Presentation 8/16/2005

A stationary Willy Wonkaland. At least this is what my son called it as we walked in to buy a card and left with about 10 as well as stickers, pens, mini staplers and a snail shaped stamp holder. You could spend hours in this store and still never see everything they carry. Be warned though, you will spend money. It is futile to resist. But you'll be happy doing it. more

A little bit of EVERYTHING 8/14/2005

Paper Presentation has it all -- the obligatory range of artsy design trinkets and gifts, aisles and aisles of paper, all sorts of packaging options, an unexpected selection of trendy bags (where else can you pick up the paper you need for your art projects AND get the latest Parcel bag?), as well as a bunch of other fun stuff. You have to see it to believe it. Worth a visit for the packaging stuff alone. Highly recommended -- great for gifts. more

More than paper! 7/31/2005

Don't be fooled by the name-this place has a lot more than paper! They carry a fun selection of handbags, magnets, stickers, cards and party goods! The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is just a fun store! They have a large selection of cute gifts as well. Not just your ordinary stationery store! more

So Much More Than Just Paper! 7/21/2005

Last month I needed a unique birthday card for my grandma, two weeks ago my job needed to print up some custom cards, Tuesday I needed a quick birthday gift for a friend - I found them all at Paper Presentation. Paper Presentation is a huge stationary store full of nifty paper, unique greeting cards, stickers, scrapbooking supplies and about a million adorable little doo dads and toys. There are handbags, candles, and party supplies galore. I can barely be trusted to run work related errands there because I spend so much time browsing! They also have custom printing, which from my brief inquiry is not the cheapest, but judging by the quality of everything else there it's probably good. GREAT place for last minute gifts! more
