Editorial review from Citysearch 10/25/2013

I saw Dr. O'Connell at PainCare's Merrimack location about three years ago after suffering from chronic pain for several years. It was beginning to become unbearable and someone recommended Dr. O'Connell to me for pain management. This place and Dr. O'Connell were amazing. He actually believed I had pain and knew what was causing it. The next week I went for an injection and felt much better, however, not all the pain was dissipating. For my follow up appointment, I told Dr. O'Connell about this and he tried another procedure a week later. Well, I was almost there, but still not 100%. On the next visit, he captured the entire problem. I had three areas causing the pain. Now, I felt like a new person. Periodically, throughout the year, I go for a procedure and my chronic back pain is history. Over the years, other providers at PainCare have helped me in the same way Dr. O'Connell did. This is the place to go if you have chronic pain because they understand that such a thing exists and do not immediately attribute it to your imagination. They do not get you hooked on pain medication. PainCare now has 12 locations throughout New Hampshire, which makes it very convenient to get treatment. They treat you with different disciplines such a physical therapy, injections, chiropractic, etc. more

Keep Looking - Pain Care use to be a great place, now that they have gotten so large, they have lost their way and now seem to be about making our lives harder and making money. As a valid patient @ Pain care I can tell you first hand, that now the doctors make you feel like you're a junkie, when I started at Pain care I would be asked into the office every six to eight weeks, now a day's its every 29 days. Taking a day off from work each month so I can go to Pain Care is insane. I have asked why all patients need to be seen so regularly and I get lip service, when I look at the NH RSA concerning follow-up appointments for DR or pain clinics the verbiage is vague at best and states nothing about every thirty days. I for one am done with Pain Care and am in the process of looking for another doctor. more

I'M NOT CRAZY! 4/3/2008

I'M NOT CRAZY! Or if I am, no one here tells me to my face! Have you ever tried something and it was so good you didn't want to let anyone know? That's what I found here. The last referral my favorite primarty gave me before she left was to this pain center. I have been going ever since with outstanding results. They are compassionate, incredibly thorough, and unbelieveably educated. Suffering from vague yet extremely severe pain for the longest time, Dr's. Leah and Chris Clough, along with their every so sweet Rachael, have conquered a significant amount of my pain. This is truly not an easy task, complicated by extremely severe lung disease amongst other things. They not only help with the pain but also the complications that go along with it. Unfortunately, I have to run to get the boy's, or I'd go on, this place is the best! Even when I moved ""up north""....way up, I maintained my relationship with the pain center. The approx. 2.5 hour (one way) commute was worth it. Thank you Pros: Everything PRO for me more
