I have been coming here for years for the lunch buffet. It is always wonderful and a great way to taste a variety of things to see what you like. I recently went for dinner and now I wish I had gone sooner. I got a special of skirt steak and shrimp. It was delicious and I had several choices of sides. Our waiter was very attentive. My friend said her tuna was excellent as well. This place is a gem. more

The food is above average but service is terrible and slow. more

Yes, used to be good. Today, just an average, overpriced "cuban style" restaurant. However don't order any fish specials. What they claim to be Grouper is an unknown substitute filet (probably snapper) served in an excessively greasy manner with barely acceptable taste. (Had slight objectionable 'fishy' smell). This constitutes fraud! \r Want real Cuban food. It's worth the trip to Miami @ Versailles. Unless your desperate don't waste your money here. On the positive side - service WAS well attended and prompt. ** out of five! more

Our visit to Padrinos was our first and likely last. the food was tasty but the waitstaff was incompetent. We waited too long to order and when we asked for a glass of ice it took him three trips to the table to remember and bring it. We were not there at a busy time either. If you are in a hurry or want waitstaff that knows what is going on, then skip it. \r \r They forgot to charge us for our buffet unil we brought it to their attention more

We have been going here as a family for the past 15 years. We have never had a bad meal, the wait staff remembers us always and the food is always superb! We espically like having our family get togethers here.\r On of our families favorite places to have a good, filling and fresh meal! more

Went here twice in the past 2 weeks - waitstaff was unresponsive, un- organized and unfriendly. First time watched the table beside us drink their Mojitos as our waiter told us they were out of lime and mint and couldn't make them for us. Crazy us - we went back - second time they were out of half of the menu items - finally ordered cube steak (Out of skirt steak) that was horrible - no flavor and poorly prepared. We just moved to the neighborhood and won't ever return. more

Great place for Cuban food. From the moment you walk in the smells from the kitchen are very inviting. Friendly staff. Try the arroz arlleno....OMG! The cuban sandwich is also excellent. Try it and you will love this place more

Expensive (more than $20) but the food is delicious! The price is worth it for great food, large portions, romantic atmosphere, and kind staff. more

Small but friendly restaurant filled w/ the usual usual Boca-ites. Decor nice, nothing fancy. Dress: casual to business casual, but you already knew anything remotely scruffy is inappropriate ANYWHERE in Boca.\r We were seated immediately, the sangria was simply magnifique with cubes of apples and grapes floating atop. Or, opt for the the authentic and fresh "house" mojito with fresh mint leaves.\r Large portions (flavorful but not spicy) with a plethora of sides. Finish off with a traditional Tres Leche (not the best I've ever had.. but not bad) or "Limon Pastry" -- essentially a key lime pie minus the green food coloring.\r A good alternative to the Olive Garden or to take friends ...and probably 1/10th the wait time! more

Food was excellent. Highly recommend the skirt steak with chimichuri, however, the service was somewhat lacking. Our server seemed like he couldn't be bothered, as if had more important things to do. more

Always fresh..friendly prompt staff.. 9/6/2007

This restaurant never disappoints. I order the breaded steak with black beans & white rice, the unsweet fried plantains (tostones) and its always delicious! It may not be the 'Versailles"" of SW 8th Street in Miami but it comes pretty close. The fish dishes are very good too and the prices are more than reasonable. Friendly curteous staff. Pros: Wonderful Cuban Food more

Muy Bueno! 5/27/2003

Fabulous Cuban cuisine including those famous pressed sandwiches and Cafe con Leche. The fish is fresh and delicious. Everything is made to order and very tasty. A good value too and a decent Mojito. Pros: Tasty, Fresh, Delish! more
