Editorial review from Citysearch 6/1/2013

I have worked with quite a few home improvement companies in the past and the quality of work that this company delivered exceeds my expectation. They were careful with details and my kitchen looks a lot like those in the magazines, the covered patio looks great, and the windows looks amazing. more

I want to thank you for sending a professional crew. They did the job with ease and pretty quickly. My house looks like new from the outside. The next project would be remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen. more

Do not even try to work with these people 7/27/2010

Anyone who knows me knows the kind of honest dependable person I am, and the unfair treatment I recieved at the hands of these people is very close to actionable. They offered me a in house estimate ofr solar panels. OK great come on over, but because I am married, they insisted that my wife be there. My wife has NO interest in this, and she does not want to be bothered with a presentation. They were very insistant, but I said just me or don't come over. They decided it was OK for my wife not to be there. The appointment was arranged for 10am Tuesday. My Mother is parapelegic, and is going through chemotherapy, I had to rearrange many things to meet this time and appointment. When the time came they insisted that my wife be there. I refused; they cancelled. If I were single they would have been right over, but I am not, I have a wife. So I am not worth talking to. Even though the house is in my name only. And I explained this to them. The "lady" said to me "so if we were able to give you a fantastic price you could say yes and authorise?" Well, big surprise YES I COULD. I do not need my wifes permission to buy anything. When I bought my truck, I did not need my wife there. When I refinanced my house, I did not need my wife there. So why do I need my wife there to hear about solar panels? Lady's, can you imagine if someone told you that you needed you hubands PERMISSION to buy something, or even hear something? Imagine how violated you would feel. Do not go to these people. If they can only talk to the BOTH of you, there is a scam going on here. Really, save yourself some irritation. There are other really reputable places out there. Oh and these other companies came with out my wife being there. That is respect for me, my house and our families wishes. Pros: Squat Cons: Discriminatory more

Beware of this company! 7/26/2010

I called them to get a quote for some work at my house. They showed up and stayed for about three hours trying to sell me services I didn't need, including new doors and windows. They told me that old windows harbor mold and that I might get really sick if I didn't change them out to their windows. I told them that I was not interested, and they call me every couple of weeks since then. I've told them repeatedly to remove my number from their list, but they haven't. You can check out all the similar complaints at the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had done that before I initially contacted them. Pros: Large company Cons: Aggressive sales tactics more

Overpriced and aggressive sales tactics 7/16/2010

I had the same experience as pamstoiner. I gave them my name and number at a show because I was interested in getting new windows. They came out to give me a quote that was twice more than the other ones I've gotten. Pacific Homes would not stop calling me. I get a call about once a month. I got my windows done by another company and have told them that, but they still keep calling. I've asked them to remove my name and number, but they will not do it. I've made it my mission to warn everyone I know about them. Pros: None Cons: Beware of their sales tactics more

Pacific Home Remodeling installed my Solar System 6/1/2010

I had a solar system installed by Pacific Home Remodeling yesterday (June 1st). I'm extremely pleased with the work done, and Kevin, the installer is more than a professional, he is now a trusted part of my growing community Eco friends! Loved his telephone demeanor, especially in the wake of my brother's death the emotional, physical, + financial hardship it caused. Pacific treated me with respect, and even put off the job for a little bit, also they worked with me on my final payment by giving me a reasonable time to pay it off (since I had expenses because of my brother's funeral etc). I really would recommend Pacific home remodeling to everyone who wants to go green with a solar system! Pros: on time, cleaned up, neat, professional Cons: none! more

The most professional company in the market 12/28/2009

We had our windows replaced by Pacific Home Remodeling in December 2009. Starting from the beginning to end my wife and I were extremely pleased with the service. When we met with your sales manager Danny Olsen to talk about the possibility of replacing our old house windows with new energy efficient windows, he was enthusiastic about the product he was selling, kind and courteous, but most of all honest. He offered us several options of windows according to our budget. Mr. Olsen took his time in explaining our window options and financing options available to us. His demonstration on the security and lifetime replacement features on the windows were well presented. Mr. Olsen also explained in detail the heating and air conditioning cost savings to us by replacing our old windows. As we could only afford to have the new windows installed downstairs this year, our average monthly electric bill savings was between $30.00 - $50.00 per month. Can’t wait to have the upstairs windows installed next year for added savings. The windows were manufactured on time and delivered on schedule with no problems. The installation was also finished on time with no delay. The personnel assigned to install the new windows were extremely hard working young men. They were courteous, cautious, and respected our property as to take care of any furniture that had to be moved and kept the inside of the house clean by not tracking dirt inside the house. What little construction dust and debris was left from the installation, they vacuumed up and placed in the trash. Thank you for a job well done. Michael & Debbie Koch Pros: professional, trained crews, variety of options Cons: none more

Did a Great Job on My Home 8/6/2009

I was a little worried about this company. My mom bought this company in before I could do some research on the company. When i did the research I saw nothing but complaints. I have to say I'm very pleased with what they did to our house. We have a older home that was built in 1926. The house looks brand spanking new. We have people driving by and knocking on the door asking who did the work on our house. The sales man name was Dona van Heal, very professional and has a lot of knowledge about the product. He did everything he said the painters and company would do. We had the house painted a Florida White with Black trim. Using FLEX-ON - Cool wall Exterior Coating By Tex cote. Flex on coating reflects the suns heat while it protects your home from the Weather. Flex-on Cool Wall is specifically designed for Southern California weather. It is the ONLY paint coat process that helps prevent mildew, moisture and other hazards from building up inside the walls, with a 100% true cover. Now the cons... On the last day when the crew finished the job, we had to go outside ad tell them to put things back, like the trenches, they did't put the shell back on the water heater, we had to get them to remove tape from around the windows. The office is calling just about every other day, asking if we want to do any other work on the house. If they call one more time this month they will loose a future customer. Other than that my mom is happy. That makes me happy:) Thanks for reading, I know i'm not the best writer, but i try. Thanks, Dan Pros: Fast and on Time Cons: Didn't put things back more

I would never use this business! 5/14/2008

2 years ago I filled out a information form at a home show- Big Mistake!. I am no longer interested in their services and have made this clear when sales employees have called. They will call back the same day. Multiple Requests to be taken off of their phone sales list have been ignored- the latest being 5/14 where I received two calls in the late morning and one in the evening. The last sales employee I talked to was very been rude, aggressive and harassing in their sales attempt. I did not get his name but at 5:45 pm on 5/14 refused to let me talk to a manager after I asked to be taken off the sales list. He told me "this is not Burger King, you don't get what you want" After many attempts to talk to someone else he kept refusing, and then insulted me and my husband. I continued to ask to speak to someone else and he said, come one, just let me get you signed up for a quote, and then you can talk to someone else. There was no way in the world I would sign up for a quote after the way he had been talking to me! I cannot imagine that any company would want to have employees talking to people like that. I called the next day and was supposedly talking to a manager in the telemarketing/sales department (who never gave me his name). He seemed uninterested in hearing about what happened and only said he would take care of it. I would never do business with this company after the interactions I have had over the phone with several employees. They do not seem like they care about customers or customer satisfaction at all! Pros: none Cons: rude, inefficient employees more
