I recently purchased an APR tuning kit for my vehicle, I then called and scheduled an appointment to have it installed by Pure Motorsports in San Diego (DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY MISLED ME AND WHEN THIS WAS BROUGHT TO THE OWNERS ATTENTION HE COULDN’T HAVE CARED LESS). Never once did they inform me while I was on the phone scheduling the appointment that for the product to work properly I would need to invest another $1,295 for software. When asked why they didn’t inform me while on the phone they responded with “We assumed you already knew” though apon arriving they quickly asked me which option I wanted to purchase which implies they have done this to other customers. How’s that for customer service oh and I drove over an hour (each way) with my 3 year old daughter. When speaking with the owner “Mike Kim” who clearly couldn’t have cared less about the inconvenience he and his employees caused apon an unimportant customer, I offered him an opportunity to make the lack of communication up. He only offered to refund the product (which I was already going to do anyways with APR directly. Thereby offering absolutely nothing in return for the major inconvenience his company and employees caused. When I asked him shortly before I left his business for good how he as a person would feel if he were in my shoes, he responded by saying “a little upset” Now that’s an understatement and this company tried to rip me off and I suggest you steer clear because I assure you I will not be the last. If it were possible to give them a negative star review I assure that is what you would be seeing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AS THEY CLEARLY MISLED ME AND COULDN’T HAVE CARED LESS ABOUT DOING SO.
