Rock Creek: A great resource for those who want a second chance. 3/17/2006

I received my associates through Rock Creek and Sylvania campuses a couple of years ago. It took me about 3 years total to finish, but a person with drive and focus could do it in 2. PCC is a great way to get back into school if you haven't been for awhile, or if you did not have good grades getting out of high school, or if you do not have much money. It's a wonderful (and CHEAP) way to get a two year transfer degree. True, some of the classes and some of the teachers are questionable in their methodologies, but then again, the 4 year university I attend now presents the same sort of questions. For the most part PCC was a wonderful experience. I recommend this route for anyone interested in higher education. more

Excellent facility 8/13/2005

This community college is the best. They offer credited courses as well as noncredit. courses. There is a wonderful libary, bookstore and theater. Parking can be a problem as there are several lots .You must have a pass left on your auto, if you park in the school lot. The registration line does move pretty fast. more

PCC a good intro to college 8/13/2005

PCC of Rock Creek is a school I would recommend to anyone considering going the community college route. The instructors there are the best for one to one help and concerns during a course as well as the plethora of knowledge you gain at this campus. The campus is great for those continuing their education from other fields as well. There isn’t a feeling of being rushed like you feel at the other PCC campuses which are larger as well as other community colleges. Good intro into college atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed. more

Good school for those trying to figure out what to do! 8/10/2005

Check out PCC if you aren't sure what to do (for college) and you want to get some low level classes out of the way. They transfer to lots of schools and have a decent education system. I do have to say that I have had a few instances where teachers didn't know what they were teaching, but other than those few times it has been good. The prices are inexpensive (Like $700 a term for full time + books) and the people are friendly. The only problem I have noticed is that EVERYONE smokes on campus, so if you can't stand smoke, you won't be able to stand this school. Other than that, it is a good value for a decent education and a great stepping stone into a 4 year school. more
