Cool way to spend a summer night 4/15/2006

I really like Drive-Ins. This one is in what went from a very rural area to a very full residential suburban area. However, despite it being considered displaced from it's surroundings, it still draws a large crowd of people. The last movie that I saw there was "The Island." It was a good movie. I am sad that this theater does not have speaker boxes. You have to use your own portable radio or a car radio. I would personally suggest bringing a portable radio, because people tend to lose battery power if they run their radio on without the engine running. In fact, the last time I was there somebody approached me about giving them a jump. more

shouldn't be a thing of the past 3/18/2006

Drive ins are unfortunately becoming a thing of the past. They are a great date alternative when you have young kids that come along whereever you go. Its nice to have the option of two movies and they have a regualrly changing selection. Nrst ow that my daughter is getting older but still isn't old enough to quietly sit through a movie, she can watch the first one and then go to sleep in her car seat. more

Overlook Drive-In 8/16/2005

Overlook Drive-In is the best outdoor movie theatre in the area. They always have great movies playing, and the price is outstanding. On a nice Friday night, why go to the crowded mall to see a movie for $9.50 when you can see TWO movies at Overlook for less than that. They always pair up a family film with a more mature film, so that familes can come early or adults alone can come later, or you can go for both movies. I have never used the snack bar there, because bringing in your own snacks is allowed, although I think the prices are really reasonable at the snack bar as well. more

Overlook Drive- Theatre Inc 8/6/2005

The Overlook Drive- in located on 126 Degarmo Rd is a different than your typical movie theater. It was a lot more family oriented. Last year my son went to a birthday party and the entertainer never showed up so they went to this theater. My son was at first disappointed but by the end of the beginning he was having a ball there. The next day the only thing he talked about was the experience there. Since then I have brought my kids there a few time because they love it so much and also it is pretty inexpensive. To go I think for my husband and I were only $7 each and my kids were $3 (ages 5-11) each. I definitely recommend you to go see a movie on a Friday with your family. It is a wonderful and cheap experience! more

Fun for all 7/8/2005

I took the 3 kids to this drive in one night for Madagascar. They had fun. They all went in their pjs and went to sleep on the way home. It played 2 different movies for the price of one which is a low price. I was only $7 and it's $3 for ages 5-11. You don't pay for young ones. Shows change every Friday ranging from PG 13 and down for young entertainment also. Nice change of scenery if you're like me and always looking for new things to do. more
