The scene: Tiny, incredibly charming space that drew me in immediately with a mix of traditional decor and modern music.
The service: Slow to start, a little inexperienced maybe.
The food: Sashimi is delicious, especially the super white tuna. Tempura batter was not crispy, ruining the tempura dipped rolls we ordered. They weren't terrible; my six year old son loved them. The steamed rice that came with the sashimi platter was not Japanese rice and did not match the cuisine.
The presentation: Sashimi plated beautifully, the caterpillar roll was absolutely adorable.
I will come back and have more sashimi, less tempura dipped rolls.
I ate from the sushi menu only.
