Nice atmosphere (cosy and warm with lots of island memorabilia), good food, friendly service, good prices,...

In ShortThis Hell's Kitchen mom-and-pop shop fills two underserved neighborhood niches with its Southern soul and Caribbean cuisine. The interior works both ways, too, with mirrors, shiny wood paneling and a few colorful lanterns passing for understated island shack if jerk chicken's the thing and feeling more down-home when barbecue ribs clutter the table. A few dishes, like an oxtail in a blend of American and West Indian spices, combine the best of both worlds.
