I brought in a whole basket of infant clothes. Many of which were boy clothes that my daughter obviously never wore. None of my clothes had any defects and all were name brand. Up...

they are good for clothes i think, but the money they give you for the clothes sucks. I brought in like 2 baskets full and they took like a total of 4 things, i thought that was dumb, and the furniture prices are just as exspensive as they are in the stores. more

Good place to buy clothes. 11/12/2005

We have had good luck buying clothes at this store. They are always in very nice shape and they tend to have a lot of name brands. When selling though, then don't give you nearly what the item is worth. I took something in there and they gave me $3-4 for it, and I cam back to shop for clothes a week later and they had a $20 price tag on the item I had sold to them. I was a little annoyed that I had not gotten the 50% that they claimed they gave. more

An upscale children's consignment store 10/5/2005

Once Upon A Child is a great place to shop for baby needs before heading to regular retail stores. They have the highest-quality used items I've seen in a consignment store. Toys and clothes look practically new...in some cases the clothes *are* new, with tags still attached. Unfortunately, this means that when it comes to selling your no-longer-needed baby items, this store is very picky. Clothes, gear, and toys have to be in pristine condition to be accepted. I have scrubbed nooks and crannies of toys with a toothbrush for 45 minutes only to be told to take the toy home and clean it before they will consider it. Some of my children's clothes have been accepted, and they pay a very decent amount--half of what they will sell it for. But they seem to turn down more than they accept. Still, this is a great place to shop: consignment store prices on like-new merchandise. more
