i know movie-going in general is expensive. and it is nice not to have to pay $10 for a ticket in olney, but it is getting pretty close. at least other pricier theaters have stadium seating, usable toilet stalls, floors that don't grab onto your feet and hold them there because the 12 year olds who easily made their ways into the R-rated movies left their half-chewed gummy bears all over the place. in addition, those nicer theaters usually have guests who don't talk on the phone during the movies. or at least if they do, other patrons will tell to stfu. in olney, it's the norm.
so, really, to charge 8.50 for that kind of an experience is absurd.
