neighborhood spot 12/29/2005

Close to where I live, otherwise I'd have missed the most amazing Shepard's Pie I've had. Nice neighborhood joint, decent jukebox. I invite friends there for drinks all the time. more

Good, fun place to drink in Ballard 8/24/2005

One of about twenty great places in our neighborhood to have a drink. The bands are pretty good, hit or miss sometimes. The place isn't too entertaining compared to others (not a great deal of bar games available -- although they have some decent dart boards), but is overall a fun time. Worth a visit or two. more

One of My Favorite Local Pubs 8/18/2005

I stumbled into the old Pequliar over four years ago (completely sober mind you), and instantly fell in love with it. This is the type of pub every neighborhood needs. It is just a great non-pretentious place to go to drink beer and socialize. There is live music on the weekends, but I prefer to head over on a weeknight and chat with friends while enjoying a pitcher or two. I have taken most of friends here on multiple occasions, and they have all enjoyed it. Plus, they have Boddingtons! more
