I cannot stop raving to all my friends and family in the area. The new owners are awesome, and making every attempt to satisfy the desires of returning guests of many years, while attempting to attract new guests of a different generation that desires other types of seafood options. The wait staff was knowledgeable and pleasant, and the teamwork effort was definitely noticed! \r The lounge bar has a face lift that has long been overdue! It is so awesome to see that PRIDE has been put back into a place that was aesthetically neglected for so long by the previous owner. This establishment is a huge undertaking for anyone, but I can see that it is becoming modernized and up to date. Servers no longer have to add up guests checks manually, but have a new POS (POINT OF SALE) system. \r I am seeing that new guests are coming to dine, and soon the guests of ages and centuries will soon be standing waiting on their table instead of 'walker-ing' their way ahead. There's 2 large and long benches out front to ensure they do not have to stand, and for those more adventurous, daring, and ""modern,"" the updated lounge bar has seating available while waiting on a table or booth.\r The food is awesome! Kudo's to Andrew and Lauren! You both deserve great acknowledgement of the undertaking in revitalizing an iconic establishment that has been in existence since 1977, but was almost locked and torn down or turned into another nightclub! The guests who have been dining at OFSH should be thankful that they are able to dine at this landmark and be able to continue to do so! more

I am so so sorry for the people that actually think this restaurant is good. The decor is extremely outdated. We are in Florida yet inside is as dark as Dracula's coffin. It is in dire need of a full makeover. Now on to the food. I could tell that the seafood was fresh BUT poorly seasoned. At $20 - $25 a plate this was very very disappointing. The Old Florida Seafood House is pretty much one of the most depressing restaurants I have been to in a very long time. I will not be visiting this one again. more

Located in the Wilton Manors area of Fort Lauderdale, this restaurant will offer you a seafood feast worth remembering. The sweet lobster bisque with lump crab is divine. The entree portions are generous and well prepared. Well worth a visit! more

I have eaten here a million times, everything is delicious. One thing to keep in mind: The food is always the same it is very consistant the specials are the same every year at every time in march 1998 the special is the same as march 2011 . The best thing by far is the stuffed Florida lobster but it's seasonal more

Wouldnt recommend the Alaskan king crab. Would rather spend $40 at Red Lobster. Help was unhelpful and just seemed like this restaurant is past it's prime. more

Best Local Seafood Restaurant 8/16/2008

My wife and I have been vacationing to the Fort Lauderdale / Miami area for the past 15 years. We have been eating at the Old Florida Seafood House for 15 years now. We always come back because the quality of the food and service is excellent. We do not leave Florida and return to Michigan without eating here at least once per vacation. We love it because it is a local favorite and not a "chain restaurant". The seafood is always fresh. We highly recommend the frog legs whether it be an appetizer or entree. The FRESH "catch of the day" is just that.....FRESH! Generous portions and excellent quality. The king crab is excellent and so is the warm water lobster stuffed with shrimp and scallops. We always leave full and feel that the price is great. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a great price. It has a real cozy atmosphere too. Pros: Excellent parking Cons: We wish they were open for lunch more
