Old Country Buffet

I read couple of the reviews which were both negative. I’m sorry to say that they both have bad experience because the times that I’ve been there I always have good experience. For the food – you get what you pay for. They are comfort food not a four star restaurant food.\r \r I haven’t been to OCB for quite awhile. I decided to go to the one in Federal Way with my 6 yrs old son for lunch. It was during end of October, that day we there was promotion that if the kids wear a costume they get $2 off or something like that. Even though my son did not wear his Halloween costume the cashier still gave me the promotional price anyway. Which I thought that was very nice of her.\r \r My son really enjoyed the food there and he likes that he can make his own ice cream. The place was clean and the servers were friendly. After lunch, my son asked me if we can come back to OCB. We went back end of November for breakfast. It was my first time going in the morning & I was please the breakfast food was fresh. \r \r The price is reasonable and it’s friendly family atmosphere. It’s a good place to bring your kids there to eat. more

I attended a baby shower at this Old Country Buffet in one of the banquet rooms. I paid $13.63 for the dinner buffet that was being served starting at 11:30 a.m., but after looking at the food lost the little appetite I had in the first place, so I went right back and asked for a refund. The cashier said the managers were both outside, and she'd come get me when they came back. An hour and a half later, no one had ever gotten me and I still had not eaten anything, so on my way out, I again asked for a refund. The manager was abrupt and rude and soundly refused to give me my money back, even though I hadn't eaten anything. He said I could stay and eat now. Yeah, that made a lot of sense, since I was on my way out the door and didn't want their lousy food anyway. I was there for the baby shower. I felt totally robbed. Basically, if you want any form of good customer service, don't go to Old Country Buffet. Instead of treating me like a human being and acknowledging I'd made a mistake in ever paying for the buffet in the first place, I was made to feel stupid, like I was trying to cheat THEM instead of it being the other way around.
