I like the Brickhouse because they showcase local bands and talent. This bar is particularly large and roomy. They do have sitting areas at tables and a few couches. The stage is at the end of the building and there is a "vip" area to the right of the stage where others can hang out.
I personally think drinks are a little on the high end maybe a dollar more than a few other places I have been but you can't beat having live music to jam to. There is even a dance floor to mosh or groove.
The few times I have gone to the Brickhouse there has been a cover charge, but there has also been a live band playing. I am not sure if the band gets some of the cover charge or not.
