Fresh fish! I just love Japanese food and also clean fish and when you go to this place you can have both. The perfect place to go to if you are craving some Japanese in ya. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 4/24/2015

My wife and I have been going here for over 10 years. Its not fancy on the inside, but the food and prices are excellent. I don't even know how this place makes money considering how cheap their happy hour specials are and how much fish they put in their rolls. Best Spicy Salmon Rolls in Town! The Staff is always very professional and friendly. Great place for a date if you want to eat well, and not be broke afterwards. more

Great Japanese cooking at its best, there is no denying that this place is pretty much up there with their stylish servings and amazing meals. One of the best in town. more

One of the best happy hour deals in 6/25/2012

One of the best happy hour deals in town. Decent sized appetizers of dumplings, sushi rolls, salads and more. Place is tiny but packed. more

Good sushi, great price. 5/22/2012

The rolls are delicious, and the happy hour menu is awesome. Only been here a few times, and it's usually crowded. more

Happy hour is unbeatable! 1/28/2012

Happy hour is unbeatable! Cheap drinks, food is fantastic, atmosphere is ultra casual & fun. Come early, as there is often a wait & parking gets dicey. Bathrooms need improvement, but the rest is so good that I tend to overlook those things. more

Authentic 12/8/2010

I can't fault the sushi and sashimi here - I've only had better in Japan. The specials menus are fantastic value. It's usually packed and slightly chaotic inside, but that's part of the charm. If you're not bothered about fancy decor and just want to eat great sushi, go here. The only minus point is the occasional lax service. I'm not deducting any marks for the wait - that's a sign of a great place. more

Best Sushi in the Galleria Area 5/1/2010

This is my 3 stop a week sushi lunch place. I get in and out full on sushi for 10 bucks. You can't beat that. Comparable places, like Japon or something, will charge you twice as much and give you less food. The waitstaff is great. If you are close by and want a quick, healthy, good lunch, go here for sure. Pros: Inexpensive, casual atmosphere Cons: Not big enough more

Always a good idea! 4/27/2010

My husband and I go here atleast twice a month and it has always been fresh and delicious! The staff is friendly...and the prices are very reasonable. more

Good sushi if you like to wait *followup 3/20/2010

I can guarantee that if you go at happy hour, you will not be in line only 10 minutes, like the last review said, more like an hour, which I experienced just last week. Pros: Decent prices, good quality Cons: Bad service, horrible wait, horrible parking more

Best sushi in town! 11/14/2009

This place is amazing. Even with the restaurant packed in the middle of happy hour, we were seated within ten minutes of arrival. They have a huge menu, and everything we ordered was outstanding! Their hamachi is so fresh that it melts in your mouth like butter, and there are numerous vegetarian choices in addition to all the great seafood. Be sure to try the black mushroom roll and baked mussel roll in addition to your usual favorites! Pros: FRESH, great variety, excellent service, unbelievable prices Cons: Parking, but there's a decent lot next door. more

best happy hour 11/4/2009

The best happy hour sushi in town! The service is the worst- but the food is good and the service is fast. Try the crunch sushi and the baked mussels- YUMMY! Pros: prices Cons: service more

Oustanding! 10/1/2009

This place looks like a whole in the wall, but the sushi is GREAT!!!! I go at least once a week. Wait staff is very attentive, I've got my entire family loving this place more

This is where my paycheck goes!!! 9/19/2009

this place is the best sushi. I go there at least every pay period sad but true. Food is always excellent and the service is freindly and very attentive. I found out about this place 3 years ago and have made all of my family and freinds sushi lovers because of this place. The only downfall would have to be its not close to sugarland. Maybe thats good so i won't eat here everyday. LOLZ Pros: cheap high quality sushi Cons: small place more

awesome happy hour 7/22/2009

I love this little sushi cafe. The atmosphere is relaxed and the servers are friendly. The happy hour is awesome. I think the large hot sake is $3 and the appetizers are buy one get one free. Couple those with some $1 sushi pieces and you have a full meal for ten bucks. There can be a wait if you get there around six, but it's totally worth it! Pros: $1 sushi more

Not as good as the reviews said 7/8/2009

Was very reluctant to try this place. My instincts were right. I ordered to go - the rice was burnt, the salad dressing horrible and the rolls tasted funny. Pros: close to the office Cons: slow service, sushi/rolls not so good more

Love this place 5/6/2009

I eat sushi pretty often and when I'm craving some, I default to Oiishi. I don't know of a better sushi joint for happy hour than Oiishi. Their $4, buy-one-get-one happy hour menu is pretty basic, but they make the food right. And the beer is amazingly cheap during happy hour. Aside from the happy hour, the all their other sushis are good too. I've gotten their combos pretty often and haven't been disappointed yet. What I don't like? The parking lot is tiny, you'll probably have to wait to get seated, and the service is hit-or-miss. Bottom-line: I'll be back for more! Pros: Price, happy hour, good food, service Cons: Parking, waiting, service more

Awesome place 3/19/2009

We went on a friday night at 9 pm and had to wait about 30 min. The place was hopping and the space is limited. The food was excellent. The prices were amazing for the price more

Great sushi for the price!! 1/4/2009

Everything is great! The prices, the sushi cuts, service, and beer! The sushi cuts are thick and fresh! The only negative is the parking. They also have a great lunch menu! HIGHLY recommended!!! Pros: Sushi, beer, service Cons: wait and parking more
