Texans in Miami still in search of good Mexican food...\r Guacamole was very good and flavorful, fajitas just alright (not marinated, simply grilled with fixin's), and Margaritas left much to be desired (especially at $11 a pop). Tailored to the South Beach crowd with 18% service included. Can make it better at home; won't be back. more

Was OK thought it would be much better. 12 bucks for a margarita is outrageous and the food portions were smaller than the average. Had really slow service and the chips were good but salsa was very bland and just sucked. more

The chips were warm and good and the salsa was quite good. Fresh guacamole was outstanding but that's about where the good parts ended. Since I was a party of just one i kind of got forgotten, twice, by my server. Dinner took forever to come out and when it arrived the Steak tacos were mini bites of steak that looked like Alpo and probably would have tasted the same if I had ever tried that. Rice was bland and had frozen peas and carrots, go figure for a Mexican restaurant. Super location, great ambiance but the entree just really disappointed big time more

Great location and not much else. Waiter was unfriendly and food sucked. Taco bell is more authentic. This place is expensive too. more

A ton of great places to eat in South Beach... why did I pick this one? Bland, boring, and uninspired. It's a tourist trap masquerading as a Mexican restaurant. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 2/2/2011

I've read some reviews about this place and the bad ones are definitely wrong. I've been there twice in a week and had a good experience. The first time was for lunch and I had a steak tacos special for $12 that comes with a free Margarita. The second one I had a "Molcajete" which is really good to share. \r Yes, it's a tourists destination, but as a local I really think that those who likes real mexican flavors (not the tex mex places) should give it a try. more

In business they say Location Location Location, well that is the ONLY thing this place has going for it, and I only wish I had checked 'The Spoon', but I was out shopping while the others settled on this place!! I arrived 20 minutes after my group and they did not even have drinks, or were even greeted for that matter!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!!!. It went down hill after that, and after reading the other reviews, I can not understand how they are still open or how the owner/management have not rectified the problems!!\r I am going to sum this up rather than a lengthy review as I am trying very hard to forget this experience.\r Waiter drops bottle, glass flies apologies.\r Waitress said no to simple substitutions, and knocks over drinks.\r Prices are extortionate.. and ridicoulous\r THE FOOD WAS AWFUL, UNEDIBLE AND THE WORST 'MEXICAN' I HAVE EVER TASTED.. TO THE POINT WHERE I CONTEMPLATED WHETHER MY DOG WOULD EVEN LIKE IT!!!!\r I did complain and they did remove the 17% gratuity and put a discount of 15%... but the bill for four people.. two appetizers, 3 small alcoholic drinks, and a plate each still came to $145.00!!\r DON'T GO HERE!! TO BE HONEST I WOULD RATHER EAT AT A MISSION... THAT IS NO JOKE!! \r THIS RESTAURANT IS A JOKE AND AN INSULT TO BE CALLED A RESTAURANT!!! more

Great Mexican food and ambiance 9/17/2010

I've been in Oh Mexico a few times. Some friends didn't looooove it, but they had a good experience. They have a new menu, with better flavors and selection and their lunch specials are good. Last time (2 or 3 days ago) I've been there with a mexican friend who wanted some flavors from his hometown. Food came on time, hot (that's how I like it) and the service was wonderful. Their tequila selection is pretty good. Will come back again. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 7/4/2010

Food mediocre at best. Even with a $48 pitcher of margarita they serve one ramekin of complimentary salsa and charge for more. Tourist trap. Horrible service. Will not go back. The only redeeming factor is the street scenery and ambiance more

i'm looking for barmen Lenin. please help me... more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 6/12/2010

Not worth their prices!!! The portions they serve are very small. The taste of the food is just as good as opening a can of any Mex food from walmart and heating it up. The worst of all is the price, went there today a family of four and ended up with a 120 dollar bill, I'm still looking at the receipt and wondering why. I feel as though I was taken for a fool. This place tenders to the ignorant tourist with no clue of what good Mex food should taste like. I'll do my research next time when eating in the Miami beach area. more

My wife and I visited SoBe 4 yrs ago and ate here and loved it. Very neat with outdoor seating on Hispanola. We forgot where it was this time and were about to eat in Lincoln Rd area when a nice guy said we should go to the area and we were excited to find Oh Mexico again. Very delicious steak tacos (2nd time for those) and the bartender was not scared to pour for my awesome Margarita. My wife loved the Mojito and her chicken burrito. Priced right for SoBe and we would absolutley come here again if in Miami. Very nice area as well as service. more

The mojitos are great. Only had appetizers that were average. But the service is on point. Great location in heart of Epinola Way which makes u feel like ur in a small village in Spain. more

Worst restaurant experience ever! 8/17/2008

basically we were totally degraded here..... there was a miscomunication at the table for a menue item the manger came over and was just as rude as the server . He never checked on us or cleared our plates. He talked about us to other staff members and the place is DIRTY. Besides our experience the food and location is just ok ... id recommed Mangos, and Nexxt cafe before i ever decided to walk in that direction. Pros: ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!! Cons: FOOD, SERVICE , HORRIBLY MANAGEMENT, BAD UNSAFE AREA more

Only because of the location 3/14/2008

My wife & I ate here twice & we said the same thing both times ""we really do not need to eat here again"". The location is what you are really paying for. Great for people watching & saying that you ate there in south beach. I did not like that when I asked for water they brought me an Evian glass bottle which they assumed that was what I meant, which I did not. The food was not bad but not great. The first time we went they sat us next to the bathroom door which felt very uncomfortable. The ambiance is that of college spring break kids being loud (at least inside). I wanted to eat outside but I don't think that I will return again. The price is more than what it should have been. At least that alleyway was a nice stroll afterwards. Pros: location Cons: Price, atmosphere more

Nice spot on Espanola Way 1/30/2007

This place was great. Was in South Beach on vacation with my girlfriend and we were craving Mexican food. The concierge at the hotel recommended Oh! Mexico, which was just a few blocks away. The restaurant itself was great. Great service, amazing food, and the margaritas were fantastic. I highly recommend the steak and chicken burrito (it had a special name I can't recall). The meat was incredibly juicy and tender, and the serving was more than enough for one person to handle. The Blue Caracao margaritas were great, a pitcher between two will get you nice and ""festive"". Again, the service was exceptional, from the hostess taking our reservation, to the bartender, to the waitstaff. We were never wanting for either more water, chips/salsa, or a refill of our margarita glasses. We were served by no less than three waiters at any given time.\r By far the best part of this venue is the outdoor seating. Make sure to request a seat on the Espanola Way side of the restaurant so you can people watch while you dine and drink. Tons of people walk by, either simply enjoying a stroll or visiting one of the many charming vendors lining the street. \r If you want a more relaxing, tranquil evening away from the non-stop party that is South Beach, head over to Oh! Mexico and enjoy a night on Espanola Way. Pros: Service, Food, and street-side seating. Cons: Nada more
