Don't waste your time with these preening, scheming liars 2/28/2010

If you're between jobs or looking for work, there are much better places to go than OfficeSlaves a/k/a Robert Halfbaked. These self-important, chirpy ice queens will shine you on, take your laboriously gathered information and do nothing with it (except perhaps to call your references to try to convince them to fire their employees and hire their temps). Week after week will go by with no job on the horizon. Late one Friday afternoon, a staffing manager will call and send you on to a job totally unsuited to your qualifications (as if that?s important to them) ? a job they only have because the company's hiring manager is a former OfficeTeamer and is ""in good"" with the staffing manager there, wink wink nudge nudge). Then, two hours after the end of your first workday, they may well call you up and tell you not to come in again ? without giving a reason ? but the real reason is they overbooked, sending too many live bodies to the job, and threw the dice and decided to toss you overboard. Oh, well; it?s starvation wages, anyway. On top of this, the staffing managers and (cough, cough) recruiters will lie to your face about everything and refuse to answer the simplest questions, claiming confidentiality issues (after all, who are you to be trusted?). They and the entire staff, sticks firmly up their rear ends, will treat you like a pitiable peon trying to intrude on them when you call in to ask about a job. If you like being made to feel like crap and wasting your time, OfficeTeam is for you. If I were you, however, I?d call up companies you want to work for and contact someone there directly. Why should these lying parasites make money off your labor? What did they ever do for you, except exploit and lie to you? Pros: Give me a week and I might think of something Cons: Do-nothing ""recruiters,"" overbooking, ineptitude, etc. more

Office Team does not care about their employees. When I started with them they assigned me to a local store where the supervisor was extremely rude to employees as well as customers. I stayed on only because I did not want to be out of work as my previous jobs with Office Team were one-day assignments. I could not believe that Office Team would work with a client who sends the temps and other employees running out in tears because of the way they were treated. It didn't take long to realize why. The profit Office Team makes on their temps is at least $8 an hour (I've seen the checks) and they get year-round requests for temps from this store, so they send their temps in there completely uninformed, knowing that they're going to quite almost immediately because of the ill treatment. Office Team didn't care! They just kept sending people in to get screamed at and treated like a slave. If I were you I would not trust Office Team place me in a position where I would at least get treated with some dignity. TRUST ME!! Take your skills elsewhere. Cons: mis-information more

Terrible employee service 9/5/2006

This company is one of the worst staffing services in Austin! They care very little about their employees and steel from them. My wife and I have worked for a number of staffing services in Austin. This is by far the most unprofessional and unorganized one! My wife worked for several different companies thru this service and they always had good things to say about her. She stopped working for about 2 years because we had a son. When she came back Office Team had a whole new staff. From the minute she got back in contact with this agency they were rude and unorganized. All the way from the receptionist to the recruiters. They had her come in to update her contact information then they loose her paper work and then make her come back to fill out the same stuff again without ever apologizing for the inconvenience. Then she fills out the info again and they don't update it in their system so her first paycheck gets sent to her old address and once again are rude to her. The final straw is when she starts working for another company and after the 3rd day is notified that her position has ended after she has left for the day. She doesn't get to fill out her timecard and relies on Office team to fill it out. A week later she receives a check for 21.5 hours. Knowing that she actually worked 24 hours she calls Sarah her recruiter. Apparently the company she worked for didn't approve the 24 hours that she worked. The reason was they said that they don't pay for lunches even though they asked her to work thru her lunch to finish up a project and was never told that she was not being payed. When she called her recruiter all she got was attitude. Basically told her that she was screwed and she would have to forget about her money. Its not like its a lot of money ($27 to be exact), but the point is that when you work for a staffing service you deserve a little respect and you should not have to worry about if your going to get paid or not! Pros: Location Cons: Care very little about employees more
