Worlds of Fun 6/21/2006

We went to Worlds of Fun last weekend and it sure is going down hill quickly. We won't be going back anytime soon. The lines are so long because it takes so long for them to load the rides. I have seen old people move faster than the workers, they have no motivation. I have a nine year old that is too tall for the little rides and too young for the bigger rides. They can't expect my nine year old to go on a ride that has a rating of 3, 4, or 5 in scariness. Yet its hard to find anything that is suitable. While there we ate at Zarda BBQ. I paid extra for the burnt end sandwich but it looked absolutely no different than the regular sandwich. I never seen a single person the whole day cleaning anything. The tables were just nasty and they expected you to eat of them. The only person that look to be good at his job was the guy that changed the trash bags in the trash cans. We spent 12 hours there and went on probably only 12 rides. Not worth the money to me!I would rather spend my hard earned money at Silver Dollar City! more

Great Time 4/17/2006

I grew up in Kansas City and going to Worlds of Fun. I'm now in college and still enjoy going to the park on a weekend with friends. The atmosphere is great the rides still give me thrills as well. The Mamba is well worth the wait in line I feel and I love the classics like the viking voyager as well. The food is OK priced compared to other amusement parks and I usually will pack a lunch. The different themes of the park offer a nice change of pace during the middle of a long hot day. Very good rides and very good staff. A+++ more

Still love it as an adult 4/14/2006

I used to go to WOF several times a week when I was kid, now as an adult I still love to go there, in fact my man and I get passes still every year. It is great exercise to walk that huge park and they have a huge new roller coaster going in this year that I'm so anxious to ride on! It is a great place to take kids and for us adults it never gets old :) more

Fun rides, not so fun crowds 4/4/2006

Worlds of Fun is an amusement park with lots of fun rides. The biggest problem with WOF is the number of kids that roam around unsupervised. The lines for the best rides are often very long and the teenagers that work there aren't usually that friendly. They do have agreat kids area, that my daughter loves. We have a good time when we go as a family, but pack a lunch, because it will cost a fortune to feed your family here! more

Not so fun 4/3/2006

This is supposed to be a fun park to take your family, but it's more like a an expensive that unsupervised teenagers hang out at. The park is dirty, dirty, dirty! They don't seem to have enough staff on hand to keep the trash under control. The lines are so long that you have to spend an entire day to get your money's worth here. The staff seems to mainly consist of teenagers, who are rude and unhelpful. I think that this park needs a major clean up and that includes a clean up of their staff. more

Not a big fan 3/28/2006

It's ok. My daughter likes it. I guess that's whats important. But I'm not a big fan. It's rather boring to me. The only attractions are really the roller coasters. Which I am not a fan of. I did enjoy staying at the cabins though. They are very nice. However, they are way expensive. I'd like to see the price come down on those a little. more

Fun at the park 3/28/2006

I really enjoy going to World's of Fun, I try to go once a year. It has gotten a lot more costly over the years, however, you can usually take a Coke can to the entrance and purchase the ticket for a cheaper price. This year they have a new roller coaster that I looking forward to experiencing. more

Oceans of Fun 3/28/2006

Oceans of Fun is a great family atmosphere. There are numerous water slides, lazy river, and my favorite is the wave pool. Everyone that works there is friendly and appears to really enjoy their job. It is also a great place for couples, there is an adult pool that has a bar and does not have the distraction of children. You can also find coupons for the park. more

Fun for the younger children 12/9/2005

This is a fun place but they have gotten rid of a lot of their more thrilling rides so I think they are trying to target a younger age group than young adults. Pretty reasonable price since you get a whole day of fun out of it. I wish they would get some more roller coasters and of course lower the price of food in the park. Not very clean as in the bathrooms and seems like there is trash everywhere. more

Fun in the Sun 12/9/2005

This is a great place if you are young or have kids or if you are over 21 and can get into the adults only pool. They have a lot of attractions for the younger kids and some fun slides. The adults only pool is nice since you can sit back and have a drink. Wish they were open later but probably can't be for safety issues. Its a great place to spend a hot summer day. more

Water Park 11/18/2005

This is a great addition to the Worlds of Fun Park, Oceans of fun is full of great slides, the wave pool and even some pool areas for the kids! It is a great place to go on hot days at a reasonable price, if you get a two park pass you can just walk through the gate in the park right into Worlds Of Fun for some roller coaster thrills! Great place to go for all day fun :) more

Love this place!!!! 11/18/2005

Worlds of fun is full packed of roller coasters and rides galore!! The price to get in is a little expensive but if you get a season pass it pays its self off pretty quickly and it will provide you with endless fun days and nights! Also in spring of 06 there is gonna be a new roller coaster added that looks completly awesome, if you haven't been to worlds of fun yet you need to check it out! more

Great Time 10/16/2005

Oceans of Fun is a really great place to take the kids. We had a blast here except that we went on a Saturday and the lines were very long. I would definitely recommend a visit on a weekday. The pools and slides were clean. All rides were rated appropriately. We even brought in our own tubes and there are air filling stations in which to air them up. This really saved us quite a bit of money instead of renting the tubes. We also brought in sandwiches and snacks which also helped on the expenses. Discount tickets can be bought at Price Chopper. more

Good Family FUn 8/23/2005

Great place to go for Family fun. It's your ordinary theme park with awesome adrenaline rides and a great play area for the kids. They've got something for everyone. They're relativly cheap, the place is kept clean, and the staff is always friendly. The food is your typical amusment park food, but good nevertheless. Go and enjoy yourself... more

Had A Blast 8/23/2005

A great place for hot days. Me and a group of friends came here to cool down one day and ended up meeting some guys up there. We had a blast getting wet and going down the insane water slides. Great family fun, and great fun for groups. Try this place out and you won't regret it. more

Oceans of Fun 8/19/2005

It's a good place to take the kids on a hot and sunny day. They can spend all day at this park and not be bored. Only problem is that its a little pricey to get in and of course food and drink adds up. Overall, going once in the summer would be nice for the kids and to get a tan. more

Worlds of Fun 8/19/2005

This amusement park is not bad at all. I used to think that it was small, but after going to St. Louis, it's about the same set up. I don't know which is bigger or better. I get the same feel from both parks. There's all kinds of rides and for all ages. This is definitely something fun for the family. more

Something to do 8/15/2005

This amusement park is somewhere that you would go to ride some roller coasters(Which I do like). Unfortunately, I think they have taken out all but 2. (3 if you count a roller coaster that just goes forward and back). Unfortunately the amusement park experience is just not there in my eyes. When the park was younger it was based upon the book 'Around the World in 80 days'. Where sections of the park were dedicated to different parks of the world. Over the years, the lines have blurred and now you walk by a chinese themed food stand next to a Scandanavian Ride. I am also not a big fan of paying a fair amount of money to enter an amusement park, only to be hit up for more to ride a certain ride. I know that my food will be expensive, but for goodness sake I thought I would at least be able to ride all the rides for my entrance fee. I give kudos to the operators of the park that they get at least 1 new ride a year there, but they need to work on the atmosphere of the park and find a theme. more

A fun water park. 8/15/2005

Ocean's of Fun is great water park, and almost the option in town. Unlike the other place, Ocean's of Fun doesn't get health violations, has new attractions almost every year, and a HUGE wave pool. It's not on par with some of he big city, big company parks, but it's still a great water park. Don't forget your waterproof sunblock though. more
