I had a very pleasant experience at Occasions. Yes, it is small, yes there is only one mirror, but I had no problem with that - I guess I don't need to be treated like a Queen. I found the perfect wedding gown, reasonbly priced, by a designer that is largely unknown with styles that are a bit different, more classy and better quality than gowns I tried on at other salons. Yes, there was one salesperson who is a bit pushy, ut this is the wedding business and you have to have a thick skin. Gail, the owner was an extremely calming influence and wonderful to me. My gown came in months earlier than promised which was a huge relief. My only negative is the alterations situation - they are affiliated with a shop across the street, and the seamstress working the day I went was just not qualified to do wedding gowns. If you're not a prima donna, want a great selection of reasonbly priced gowns, and can deal with alterations on your own, definitley give this shop a chance.
