Marshall Fields' Oak Grill was our lunch stop on a busy Christmas shopping day. Although the room is somewhat dark (a nod back to its days as a men-only spot), the mood was brightened by Christmas decorations. The popovers, as always, were hot and melted in your mouth. I tried the herb-crusted pork medallions, which were served with garlic mashed potatoes and a picked cabbage of some sort. Delicious, but too much food for this diner! My companion had a turkey sandwich that was finger lickin' good, to borrow a phrase. This out of the way dining spot is worth the special effort it takes to find it.
Pros: Tasty food, Free popovers
Cons: Dark room, Twelfth Floor
