A real community paper 9/7/2006

The North Denver News only comes out once a month, but it's a great little community paper. I can always expect interesting news on what's opening up in the neighborhood, honest analysis of what's happening in the schools, and interesting articles on all kinds of topics - some opinion, some reviews, advice on taking care of an old house. You really never know. I own a small business in North Denver, and can tell you they're the only paper I'd do business with. Content is balanced, the people there are really helpful, and the pricing is fair - unlike some of the competition. more

A fun, funky and informative publication 1/30/2006

For those of us living, working or visiting North Denver, the NDN is must. It's eclectic articles and ads offer dining reviews, fun things to do, political happenings, community events and more! It's also a great directory of all the marvelous little shops located in the area. If it's happening here, it's written in the North Denver News--usually with a marvelous flair in an easy to read style. I never miss it! Best of all--it's free!! Pick it up at any local North Denver shop. more

Not a Good Community Resource 8/20/2005

I hate to give a negative review, but I can't recommend trusting this publication for representative news. Their policy is not to publish any letters to the editor, which shows that this newspaper is primarily a one way communication tool. But you don't have to believe me--until they improve on grammar, spelling, and professionalism, they will have a hard time improving their respect in the community. Pick up an issue and you will see right away. In their defense, they are relatively new, and face competition from another, better known newspaper. So with time, they may be able to make improvements, building on their interesting articles on alternative medicine and home/garden topics. more
