everybody always tells me how good of a pizza north beach makes but it fails to impress me every time. maybe i just don't see it, but THAT is surely not the best pizza in the city...

The ribs were great as ever, the pizza was a little saltier when cold, but otherwise still amazing (I forget the name but it had tomatoes, chicken, bacon, and garlic cream sauce) more

I've noticed that although i usually love North Beach Pizza, it tends to be a real hit or miss. Unfortunately, this time it was a miss. There wasn't very much cheese on it, and it was incredibly soggy. Not sure what happend this time, but the crust was total mush...especially considering it only had one topping. I'll remain a customer of course, but we were unsatisfied this time around. more

Formerly a GREAT delivery option, now not nearly as good as it used to be. Quality of food has declined (though still usually quite tasty), delivery drivers are only occasionally friendly and helpful. This time around they didn't bother to read the "special instructions" I'd included with my order, and when I called the man who answered wasn't helpful at all. I'm sure there are better options for Italian food delivery in San Francisco... time for me to find one. more

This pizza is excellent for the bay area (Nothing personal, but this city doesn't do pizza very well). PROS: Quality toppings. The cheese is nice and not rubbery. REHEATS WELL (many pizza's can't make that claim). Delivery is generally prompt. Again, Quality toppings. The toppings are the best part of this pizza. Neutral: Crust is standard. Cons: (At least for me, sauce is the pinnacle ingredient when it comes to pizza. You can eat a pizza with mediocre crust or veggies if the sauce is great. If the sauce is bad, it's inedible). The sauce seems heavy on sugar. It's missing something. Maybe needs a little grease? (grease can make or murder a pizza). That being the only con, I give this pizza 4 stars out of 5. Overall, try this pizza! more

don't ever order pizza and i called at 9:45 and they said they were closed. so, i guess their hours are incorrectly posted? not calling them again. Pros: no pros Cons: change your hours to 9:45 more

Bad Experience with San Mateo Location 11/7/2009

I ordered a pizza and came to pick up the pizza at the San Mateo location. Several was so wrong with what I have observed. Here are some:\r 1. The cashier is clueless and the crew aren't friendly\r 2. They are not clean - here is an example. I observed the guy who put the pizza in the oven. The pizza paddle he used is place on the ground. Every pizza I saw was used by the same paddle. I decided not to take my pizza and asked for my money back.\r 3. I came 20 minutes as they mentioned to pick up my order. I had to wait another 30 minutes before the girl realized that the pizza had already been cooked and was above the oven.\r 4. This place is dirty. Just take a look around when you go in.\r 5. STAY AWAY and go to another place. more

changed ownership and no quality control manager 7/22/2009

this place must of have changed crew, because the pizza I got delivered had toppings from precut vegetable bags , why , I am a real cook and I can tell the difference when something is cut fresh or comes from the bag. You've failed miserable with the pizza I got delivered, I never had a pizza so bad in my life, honestly. \r \r the pizza I asked for was like eating a subway sandwich. Maybe, it was the 2pm crew that was working that day, I can only blame the pizza maker that day, not the staff, the pizza arrived on time, but as a North Beach Pizza like I used to have a little while back @ the San mateo NB, what a change but sorry to say, but avoid the DAY crew, I don't think I'll never , ever other a pizza @ the SAN MATEO NORTH BEACH PIZZA. more

TERRIBLE CHOICE. ORDER ELSEWHERE. 4/8/2008

I was told it would take 40 minutes to deliver. Fine.\r \r An hour and 15 minutes later, I called and they said it had left their restaurant 15 minutes ago.\r \r I called back 15 minutes later. They said, again, that it had left fifteen minutes ago, even though they promised me in my last call that it had left 15 minutes prior to that.\r \r They put me on hold for 15 minutes when I wanted to speak to the manager. Then the manger put me on hold to speak to the owner, whom the manager said was standing, ""right next to me.""\r \r Their phone people are incompetent and liars. \r \r The pizza arrived after 2 hours, cold, and they still wanted to charge me. I was desperate and hungry, so I paid half. I really, really wish I hadn't. The pizza isn't very good anywa. more

I dont get the appeal of the pizza here... ive probably given the place 4 tries and i am always regretful. the pizza is always undercooked, soggy and impossible to eat. the toppings taste like theyve come from a can and the dough from a supermarket. never again. I travel all around the world and I never eat that much good pizza in the world specialy feta chees and garlich pizza is the one Cons: there is no parking in nort beach so..try to fınd some place your car fırst more
