We've been eating Norm's Garden's food for many years. They staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is about the best ""standard"" Portland Chinese fare we've found. There are places that do other things better, but for week to week take out it's hard to beat Norm's. My favorites are dry sauteed string beans, ma poa bean curd, twice cooked pork, and prawns in black bean sauce. My kids love the sweet and sour dishes. Their wonton soup and hot and sour soups are consistent and very good. The sizling rice soup is great, but best saved for dine in. Weekends are busy and expect long waits for take-out. Normal takeout turnaround is 20 minutes.
Pros: Tasty dishes, friendly staff
Cons: Decor, variety
