Nicole Bridal & Formal Shoppe

*NOT WORTH THE RISK* I purchased my wedding gown from Nicole Bridal and with my date less than a week away, I'm so unhappy with my dress. If you're looking for a cookie-cutter, as-is, take your money and run kind of shop - then by all means, Nicole Bridal is the shop for you. But if you're looking for a consultative, advisory and personal experience to find the most perfect dress for your most important day - keep it movin' ladies, you're running a big risk. I mistakenly chose this vendor to do the alterations (the gown is a sample size 10) and they (miserably) FAILED in educating me about the structure of the gown and advising me on how the final fit would look. While they can't be blamed for a short coming within the designer's choice for the construction of a dress, they should be 100% accountable for communicating and guiding the bride-to-be on how the final product will appear. Actually, when I stated this during my last, very frustrating, unfruitful attempt to fix the problem, one of the shop owners, Marina, actually stated ""we can't possibly tell each person every little thing about each dress"". Oh. REALLY? Ummm, because that's kind of what you do. That statement sealed it for me right there - that's the gist of this shop. If anything, if you can't find the dress of your dreams anywhere else (which you can), I think they would be good enough to simply buy the dress from but take it somewhere else for alterations - somewhere trusting and competent. Communication is key is this process and there just isn't any there. There is also no flexibility in resolutions for an issue either - with a GLARING issue with my dress, they weren't even open to refunding me a penny - not even the alteration fees I paid. This is abhorrent since the issue with the dress is something that I did not have the experience to foresee -but they did. And said nothing. I've never been married before and this is my first time going through this process - I could not be more sad. This is honest and sincere advice - the best thing you can do for yourself (your fiancee, friends and family) is to reduce your level of stress and one of those ways is avoiding Nicole Bridal. You DON'T need a disappointing surprise for your big day. Take it from me - I won't feel beautiful and elegant on my wedding day, I'll feel sloppy and uncomfortable. And the only thing worse is that they could have found some creative way to resolve the situation but you what they say - where there's a will, there's a way. There is no will here - take your hard earned money somewhere else. more

Wow, what a relief we are to have the lovely folks of Nicole Bridal. I just don't know what I would have done without the service that they performed above and beyond expectations. I was moments away from walking down the aisle when I relized I had an emergency with the vail. Luckily I had taken the option of getting their lady in waiting services. Marina from the bridal shop was able to quickly reset it in my hair and get me down the aisle without anymore stress to my day. I don't know why they may have recieved anything other than great reviews as I am a black woman too. Pros: great service, selection, alterations more

I had come from a long day of shopping with no results and decided to go to Nicole's bridal shop. I was coldly greeted by a man at the front desk holding an infact. I told him I would like to look at wedding dresses, he hesitated for a second then asked me if I had an appt. I replied no. At that time it was 4:00 and he informed me they closed at 5:00. Now I didn't necessarily feel like trying dresses on, but I did want to browse. He was not friendly at all. He acted as if I was intruding on his time holding his grandchild. The customer service was quite poor. He made me feel like I shouldn't have dared walked into the store. Oh did I mention that I'm a black woman. This place deserves more than a 7.3 rating. This store is run by a mother and daughter team with more than 30 years of experience. They were incredibly nice and the quality of the dresses is far superior to many of the other bridal shoppes. It had a boutique feel with boutique dresses without the snobbiness or pushiness that many may experience at such a store. I would highly recommend this place being the first place any bride visits. I wish I would have done so when I began my search. I found my dream dress here. The dress brought my friend and I to tears. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those who want impeccable service and a great quality dress. Pros: Beautiful dresses and personalized shopping experience with large individual rooms. Cons: None! more
