Not filling, but very fun. 11/26/2008

Very trendy yet cozy vibe in this Studio City bar/lounge. Eclectic menu offers some great dishes. The cold salmon tapas is a favorite. If you're not too concerned about how much you are spending, this is an excellent place to have some drinks and try out some great tapas. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to have dinner or try to get full. Definitely recommend it for after-dinner drinks and snacks. Pros: Cozy ambience with great decor, amazing drinks, eclectic variety of tapas. Cons: A bit pricey, not filling if you are hungry. more

great tapas, great wine, great service. WINx3 9/29/2008

i've been going here since i moved to the neighborhood from chicago. the staff are wonderful! they know my drink, they shake it right and i usually order a glass of wine which they offer a nice variety, spanish and california varietals dominate my tastes here! Pros: valet, ambience, taste buds are delighted. Cons: sometimes too crowded on weekends, what gives? more

A hidden gem! 7/25/2008

A hidden gem! Great food, service and atmosphere. We sat for several hours more than we had anticipated enjoying the evening. more

WORST MANAGER EVER 3/10/2008

I absolutely love this place but refuse to return due to the unprofessional manager. I never take the time to write reviews on restaurants but after my experience with this person felt it was important to inform consumers and address his behavior. I was there with coworkers last wed night and when the check arrived we placed 2 credit cards down to split the bill. The very DUMB waitress only charged my card. After informing her of this she stated no problem she would VOID the original charge and then split the cost. Well the next day I saw that I was charged TWICE, Once for the entire Bill and then again for the splitting of the bill. I left several messages with no response and then when I finally got a hold of the manager he was extremely defensive, pretty much told me that it was not their mistake and that I would need to check with my bank, and what did I expect him to do. When I stated what do you mean what do I expect you to do you are the manager of that incompetent employer he stated I could show up to his restaurant with my lawyer or whomever and I ended up hanging up on him because he was being so inconsiderate. Any place that treats their customers in that manner does not deserve to be dined at with all the amazing places to eat in LA. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS PLACE, go to Firefly instead right down the street! more

Hyped up 8/8/2007

I went here with a friend at around 6pm on a Friday and I think we arrived at the same time as all the employees. The place was dead! We left at around 8pm and only a handful people were there. The food was overpriced for the extra tiny tapas portions we received. The wine was good (but you really can't mess that up). The bartender was a little snobby and not friendly, but helpful with picking a wine. No music and lacked the tapas ambiance that I like. I'd go again for the wine, but not for food. Pros: Nice Spanish wine menu Cons: Overpriced tapas dishes more

Great Bar! Forget the Tapas! 7/21/2007

Great New York vibe in a quaint underground-like setting. The bar is quite phenomenal and great for lounging on the romantic couches spread around the fireplace. Glass of wine..$11. Waitress...priceless. This bar space will impress even the most cynical of sceptics! Pros: Lounge Bar scene and ambiance Cons: food and waiters more

Tapas & Ambiance Reasonably Priced 1/2/2007

The tapas plates make you think you're in Andalucia sipping Madera Port and enjoying a light plate of warmed to perfection Manchego cheese and Serrano Ham. Walk into the swanky but comfortable lounge to enjoy a slice of New York in LA (via Spain). With a chill early evening to late night scene Next Door Tapas will impress the most cynical of sceptics. Order a phenomenal wine at the bar, lounge on the romantic couches by the fireplace or grab a seat on La Loggia's patio..... you may even catch a glimpse of some A-listers. Dress up, dress down....the attentive service, ambiance and delights of Next Door Tapas leaves little to be desired. Don't let the valley aspect deter you. Pros: die for tapas Cons: inconsistent service at times more

Great tapas and wine 10/1/2006

This is an excellent place for an early bite and a glass of wine or a late night snack and nightcap. Warm, comfy setting, an extensive, reasonably priced wine-by-the-glass list and an extensive tapas menu. Try the sliders infused with foie gras. And the bartenders could not be friendlier actually telling the truth about which items are good and which they don't prefer on the menu. A real treat! Pros: wine list, cool ambiance more

Lovely lounge 12/14/2005

This is the perfect spot for a romantic drink, or a light bite to eat. It has a classy atmosphere, but a homey feel. The small plates are so good--we loved the spicy potatoes. This is a fabulous new addition to Studio City. more
