This ride on a mule drawn barge draws on the canal history of the area, when the mule barges were used to take passengers and goods up and down the Deleware River.
The canal is nice spring and fall, or on a cool evening in summer. But it is a bit pricy.
Many of the local businesses use the barges for parties or as a side trip offered to patrons. One of the local bed and breakfasts offers a special event for their patrons of a barge ride with a folk singer. I've seen local events, including food and drink, held on the barges.
This is an interesting piece of local history, but not a trip I will do often.
