I just moved here from New York about three years ago where I was with my dentist for a very long time, and loved every visit I scheduled, everything was handled promptly and professionally.
It took me some time to decide to find a dentist and schedule a routine cleaning as I have very healthy teeth and was in no rush. Decided to go with Dr. Negelow for the fact that his office is right around the corner from where I live and his receptionist told me he was from Ny so that made me feel better. While I was in the chair waiting for the procedure, I had felt that he was jumping back and forth from me and another client which we all know is wrong. After the evaluation his assistant came in to do the cleaning, it was like she had never done this before and I was her test patient, needless to say very uncomfortable.
Now for the worst of it all, I gave the receptionist all my health care information up front before the evaluation and walked out after expecting everything to be taken care of their end and just a letter in the mail or an E-mail saying thanks and as to when I'm due back. Instead I am due back for a cleaning and the initial bill is still outstanding, my insurance has yet to receive a claim, phone call, e-mail, or fax from Dr. Negelows office and I have called and left messages on their machine stating what is going on, this is my number and insurance address, and never once got a call back.
Finally got ahold of his office and the receptionist cannot handle the difficulties so she puts the Dr.( if that is what we are calling him) on the phone, he finds my info like I stated earlier and apologized on the phone, e-mail, and in his next statement, this statement was to let me know that they have issued the claim and that I owe a $100.00 deductible. Well my insurance has yet to receive anything and I went through the charges from my first and last appointment and they said that everything is covered and there is no deductible as no major work was performed.
Simply put, irresponsible, very very unprofessional and scammers. I think I will just fly to Ny two times a year to my old dentist because this is a headache and time consuming. Did I say already that I am due for my next cleaning, 6 months!!!!
