To whom it may concern,
I recently went to a nationwide vision store. Biggest mistake ever!!! The office staff was beyond lazy and didn't verify my insurance before I arrived. My mistake as well one I will never do again. They labeled me as a medical patient when it wasn't medical related in fact, the doctor spent less than 30 seconds discussing the portion of it that was a medical question relating to the health of my eye allergies. They had me down as another patient & also kept refering to me as Kristina, and I was an 18 year old, when i'm 30. I was there for the purpose of getting a second pair of glasses. Sunglasses to be exact. Went thru the whole exam bit. Sat down to do my eyeglass stuff, even picked out a pair. To then be told oh your not eligible for another week and a half for exams or glasses. Then they said oh wait your fine. then to be told never mind your not. The whole time they had my paperwork in front of them before exams and let me go thru with everything unsure. Therefore I had to pay for my eye exam. It would have been much more professional to be told upfront before going thru all the exams and wasting my time and money as well as the doctors (even though he got paid). But then they said, on top of that they couldn't figure out my insurance. Do we bill it as medical, or eye insurance. Finally they realized that my medical coverage and the exam fee cost was the same. To which i was very upset because it should have been a 30$ co-pay. Had I known I would have come the following week when coverage took place, because it wasn't urgent.
I left this store horribly upset, and had the office staff mocking me about my displeasure and the way I was mislead at the office. I paid my 49.99 exam fee even though FB says its 29.99, got my prescription and next week I will go to my eye doctors office, that I should have to begin with, which I went against my better judgement and I will get sunglasses that I was seeking to get to begin with.
Anthem is a very small town. Lots of businesses are going under right now. I will be sure to spread the word thru my husbands company, moms groups, children's schools and friends @ how horrible the office staff is here. In the future when I read reviews regarding a doc office and they say it's bad I will be sure to listen.
