At NDI-NM, we care about the whole student, challenging tasks develop their minds; vigorous physical activities make their bodies strong; a high standard of excellence sets a new bar for what can be achieved; and team building exercises boost their confidence and enrich their spirits.
National Dance Institute of New Mexico (NDI-NM) brings award-winning arts and physical education programs to underserved children in urban, rural and Native American communities throughout New Mexico. NDI-NM has three streams of programming - Outreach, Advanced Training, and Teaching Excellence® which enable us to provide direct services to thousands of children and hundreds of teachers each year.
NDI-NM's statewide Outreach Program partners with public schools throughout New Mexico to provide dance classes as part of each school's regular curriculum. A certified NDI-NM instructor and professional pianist teach every class. At the conclusion of each program, students celebrate and share their successes through a performance or assembly attended by family, friends, peers, and community members.
NDI-NM offers children an array of programming beyond our In-School and Residency Outreach Programs. Advanced Training is designed for children and teens that are inspired by our Outreach Programs and want to take the performing arts to the next level through advanced, after-school instruction.
