Editorial
  • In Short
Years in the making, the opening of the National Constitution Center in summer 2003 coincided with the conclusion of one of the most action-packed seasons in recent Supreme Court history during which, among other things, basic freedoms were recognized to exist for many gays and lesbians (as long as they hadn't been detained as enemy combatants, that is). If you think you can interpret the Constitution better, there's no better place to challenge your ideas: Multimedia exhibits, films and oral history lessons explain the origin of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and later amendments. Special exhibits illuminate historical nooks and crannies.
