Horrible Product! They use recycled toner cartridges and pass them off as new. They don't last as long as new or proffessionally recycled cartidges. Horrible people skills on the telephone. Dont get involved with this company. more

i have been doing business with these guys for years and i spend over 20k annually with them they are good people to work with. they handle any customer service issue that has ever happened with ease way easier then office max or staples ever do. as for the free stuff i love getting those things i give them to my secretary in the office every few months and it makes her whole month. its actually beneficial for me to get those because i have to buy the toners anyways and when i give her an ipod or game for her kid she is the hardest working bee in my office. AND its free so its a double positive more

Terrible, Harrassing, Slimy, Pushy Liars 10/14/2011

I wonder where this company finds employees who are willing to be THIS slimy. I guess if you are decent you can't work for this company. I have requested to be removed from their call list 5 times, but they will probably call me again in another two weeks to a month thinking I forgot the company name or something. They are UNFORGETTABLE and not in a good way! more

Office Supply Scammers 9/22/2011

Connie from National Business Supply called me today and the best thing I can say is that she was very friendly when I answered the phone. She asked to speak to Nina (we are a very small nonprofit and there has never been a Nina working here) and when I told her that she had the wrong number, she asked who ordered the office supplies. When I said I did, she asked my name and started telling about the items that I could get for free if I ordered my office supplies through them. I told her that I knew it was a scam and that we are on the Do Not Call list and she needed to remove our information from her list. She kept talking and insisting that it wasn't a scam as I was hanging up the phone. The Federal Trade Commission has information on office supply scams on their website. Connie's script apparently came straight from FTC's list of scams! I am horrified that people do this for a living. more

Dishonest, unethical, rude, over-priced 7/27/2011

National Business Supply is not worth your time or money. Hang up and keep moving. NBS has more complaints filed with the Southern Nevada BBB than any other company in its category. www. bbb. org/southern-nevada/accredited-business-directory/office-furniture-and-equipment. NBS offers ""freebies"" that are obviously not intended for your business. If this entices you to buy from NBS, you are, in effect, stealing from your employer (unless you are a sole proprieter). In my case, I didn't think this through carefully enough before ordering. They also didn't ship the freebie they promised. NBS says it wasn't available and they chose another, more expensive freebie to ship. Guess what? I didn't want the other more expensive one; I wanted the one they promised in the first place. I called to request a return of the entire order and was informed there would be a restocking fee. What!? They didn't ship what they promised! On the order confirmation form, it states, ""Unauthorized returns WILL NOT be accepted & WILL BE subject to a RE-STOCKING FEE."" However, on their invoice form (what you receive _after_ you submit the order form), it states, ""All returns subject to a 25% restocking charge."" They're crooks. NBS uses high pressure sales tactics, sells inferior products and doesn't ship what they promise. Not all, but many of their representatives have poor phone skills (they should look up Webster's definition for ""dialogue""). I've had to hang up on some of their sales people because they won't take no for an answer or let me get a word in edge-wise. One fella had the audacity to call me back and in an angry tone inform me that I had hung up on him. I agreed that yes, I had, and hung up on him again. I'm giving this review one star only because I can't give none. One sure-fire way to get them off the phone: tell them you will consider purchasing toner from them only if they are willing to first send you one cartridge free of charge, no strings attached. Generally, Meritline, QuikShip Toner and Toner Max products are better and their selling practices are ethical; they also don't over-promise and under-deliver. Not taking NBS' return stocking fee into account, I'm saving 295% by returning my recent order and going with QuikShip instead, and I'm getting 1 more cartridge in my QuikShip order. Since my order is for 5 cartridges, QuikShip ships for free. After taking the 25% return stocking fee into account, I'll still save 177%! Booyah, NBS! more

RUDE... RUDE... 5/10/2011

I would like to start by saying I do not even think this company deserves ""ONE"" Start. This company is impossible to deal with. I swear they are one of the rudest companies I have come in contact with. I do believe they have nothing better to do than to continue to call and be rude. I was told not to waste time by a saleswomen who hung up on me, when she has done nothing more than waste my time. I would have to say inorder to be that kind of a person you must be very unhappy and obviously unpleasant. more

Pushy, annoying, rude, poor communication skills 4/28/2011

One or even two calls from a salesman is ok even if you have said no thank you but these people do not take ""no thank you"" for an answer! They are pushy way past persistent. After I said my final no thank you, and said I would call her if we were ever interested in doing so, she calls back and asks to speak to someone else. Again, we told her no thank you. I see that there is no name attached to the NBS 5 star review of them selves asking complaints to be brought directly to the company so who ever you are, PLEASE retrain your staff. It is not customer friendly for a sales person to drown out a customer with a phony heckling laugh. That poor woman Robin must have starving kids at home to work for someone who drives their staff to make routine obnoxious calls after having been told NO. The only good reviews you have come from your company and associates. If not for your own 5 start review you would probably average out at about a 2 star. Robin, there are other companies who would love your dedication to a sale without humiliating yourself. Robin, you should consider leaving NBS for someone who appreciates you and doesn't make you gravel! more

Obnoxious, Unethical, Rude, Scam Artists 3/17/2011

I've received a number of calls from this company, but today's call pushed me over the edge. The girl tried to con me into buying office supplies/printer supplies by offering me ""free"" stuff. When I said I wasn't interested and asked that she send me information about her company for me to review she said, ""WHY WOULD I DO THAT?! YOU WON'T EVEN TALK TO ME!"" I said, ""I won't do business with you over the phone, but if you send me some information, I may look it over and consider your company."" She said, ""WOW! WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE A PHONE THEN?!"" So I then said, ""If you're going to be rude to me, then I REALLY won't talk to you!"" and I hung up on her. The next time she calls, I'll have an airhorn by the phone waiting for her call. more

RIPOFF ARTISTS........... 12/1/2010

I worked for this company for a long while.They rip people off.....wanting them to buy ink cartridges for triple the price than the store.....then bribe them with ""free stuff"". Belive this,,,nothing is free....then they have a so called manager on the other line listening and telling you what to say to the customer. Hey big dog you need to learn some new lines.Oh and and woody really need to take your personal bull out of the work place...very unprofessional....And kelly cant forget u..If not for your hospital account you would be long really got alot to learn. Rick....dont have enough room to talk about you......You think you sh-- does not stink.....but it does worse than anyone elses. Buy your ink cartridges from a local will save alot of money & avoid all the bull----. Their product sucks......they will be out of biz real soon..... more

This company is a sham with incredibly talented and tenacious salespeople. They try to hook you by being friendly, borderline in appropriate, on the phone. Don't be surprised if you get invited down to las vegas. Just try and take them up on it, that would be amusing! more

I'm surprised to see some of the reviews below. I have dealt with National Business Supply for many years and I have nothing but good things to say about my business with them. My Sales Rep., Kelly, has always taken care of my needs accurately and promptly(and most importantly Kelly is fun to talk to). The customer service has always been at it's best and it's a pleasure to do business with them. more


A salesman called me and first of all of very excited. Then I was offered an Ipod Shuffle (cheap...doesn't he know the Ipod Touch is the newest thing) and then a digital camera. After explaining to him that as a state employee I could not accept such gifts, he kept pushing the sale of ink cartridges. I began to explain to him that we purchase a majority of our office supplies through a vendor in which we're locked into a contract with, he hung up on me. He also referred to me as ""babe"" during his conversation; extremely unprofessional. Pros: NON Cons: Pushy, Rude, Hung Up more

Received a phone call from this company regarding ink toners telling me all this free stuff I could get behind my companies back just by buying from them: 1st - I WOULD NEVER rip off the company I work for, especially not for some ignorant woman who wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to get a word in edgewise 2nd - I requested written documentation of what products were available and @ what cost and was told and I quote ""we all know what ink cartridges look like, don't you? and we know all the prices by heart"" R U KIDDING ME? This company is a SCAM!!!!! 4/29/2009

I applied at this company and was hired and worked there for two months. These cartridges are generic remanufactured refills and sold for 5 times the amount of the price of an oem cartridge. The sales rep lures the buyer with promises of free gifts which are given on the first order. They supposedly work on a ""point system"" which is a complete lie, you spend your bosses money to recieve personal gifts ordering supplies you dont even need which is ILLEGAL in many states.
