The Nashville zoo has its faults, no lie- the primary of which is that they definitely don't have the animal assortment that most older, more established zoos do. It more than makes up for it, though, with its activities and exhibits. The meerkat exhibit, for example, is terrific and creative. The playground just rocks. Your children can be happy spending the whole day there, without ever even getting to the animals. We usually have to drag them away to get them to the animal exhibits (at least until they see the monkeys).
