The pizza was really, really good, but the delivery was decently late, so I subtracted a star. Will definitely be ordering again, though. more

Rat infested and sweat shop conditions 4/25/2010

As soon as the weather gets a little warm, the help sweats profusely and it gets into food. The owner does not provide enough ventilation or airconditioning relative to the size of the ovens (restaurant is extremely small).\r \r \r\r \r and click on ""previous Inspection Results"" and then on the April 22, 2009 inspection and you will see that they were rat infested. \r \r I mean, come on, how big is this place, and how much money were you making that you couldn't control this? Greed.....there's no other excuse. \r \r I always went there and liked their food, and then I stumbled upon their inspection. I ate there the day before that inspection date... I nearly vomited. Pros: Good recipies Cons: Unclean, little ventilation and rat infested more

Best Pizza & Pasta in Astoria!!! 11/21/2008

Best pasta in NYC!!! I went with my family from Italy and they love it!!! We had penne vodka, pasta bolognese, Pizza Margherita for appetizer. It was great, specially the dessert, Tartufo Ice Cream and the authentic italian Espresso and Capuccino, was the best food that we never had! the Merlot wine was just perfect. Best prices! 2blocks from the American Museum of the Moving Image!!!! We place and order right away for my sister birthday, good catering prices too! Pros: Food, Service, Value Cons: No Cons, it was great!!!!!!! more

Authentic Italian food for less 4/12/2006

\r \r *Update:\r REcently the quality of food is not so great anymore. Maybe too many customers? Kinda get a feeling to push out of the door sometimes. And Food needs to be cooked more. Very sad, since we thought we found a great place. Hope they will improve. For now we will not go back. \r \r BTW, does anyone know who painted that wall??? Pros: , friendly service Cons: location more

Economical Neighborhood Pasta 12/30/2005

I lived down the street from Napoli for 2 years and picked up dinner here more often than any other restaurant in Astoria. The pasta, chicken and veal dishes are one of the best values in town, almost always served with bread and salad (and pasta for the meat dishes). The pizza is only slightly above the avarage slice shop, but also a reasonable deal. Sit down service, while pleasant and speedy, leaves something to be desired. The atmosphere is kind of cheap and a tad dingy - definitely not a date spot. Overall a decent place, but you'll get the most out of it if you live as close as i did and pick up or have them deliver. Pros: inexpensive, portions, quick Cons: atmosphere more

Pleasantly Surprised 11/15/2005

My boyfriend and I went to Napoli's last Friday to grab a quick bite before our movie (Napoli's is just 3 blocks from Kaufman Astoria theaters). Interesting crowd for people watching - old school Italian music cranking - friendly Italian waitress brought us our wine & garlic bread in no time. We ordered big plates of pasta (very generous portions) and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Our bill cost less than our movie tickets, and we're going back again this Friday with friends. Pros: Friendly atmosphere, Inexpensive food, Convenient location Cons: No frills decor more
