I booked my birthday party at Mug over two weeks in advance. The woman I spoke with was very accommodating and flexible with the party plans. The only requirement was a deposit to the owner to guarantee we would show up. I went to the bar during the owner's ""working hours"" SEVEN times over the course of the next week and a half to try and deposit the money, and every time I was told that the owner was not in, and that I would have to come back another day. After each visit, I called and made sure that nothing was going to be messed up as I had already sent out the invites, booked the DJs, etc. and they assured me it wasn't a problem. After my last unsuccessful visit, I called again, and was informed that someone had walked in that morning, put down a deposit, and now had the space on my night. They were totally UNAPOLOGETIC about it and left me without a venue THREE DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY. A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. I recommend steering clear of this venue if you want somewhere reliable to throw a party.
