Would I recommend Mrs. Smokey's to a friend? Yes. But, be prepared. Seating is limited. Air-conditioner works hard to keep up. We were there on 4 July, this is a prime time for barbecue. The feeling is that you are roughing it. You are. However, you will be rewarded.\r \r The family that operates this place are really working hard and seem to really care about your satisfaction as a customer. The food is a reward. Ribs and chicken served hot, juicy and flavorful. Look forward to their sauce. I like it hot. They have the usual categories of sauces. Be sure to taste a sample before deciding. Better idea, order it on the side. I had their collard greens. They were better than I expected. Not greasy and very flavorful.\r \r If you've been in this area for a while, you are forced to make the inevitable comparison with a barbecue chain that started only a few blocks from this location. Park Avenue Barbecue Grill is no longer at their original location, but are all over now. PA grill has a good thing going and I hope they continue. It is a lot more commercial and comfortable then Mrs. Smokies, however a trip to Mrs. Smokey's is definitely worth it. \r \r Remember, don't forget your Wild West name. more

We tried Mrs. Smokey's for the first time a couple of days ago. Items sampled were ribs, pulled pork, brisket, tator tots, slaw, fried biscuits, homebrew iced tea, and key lime pie. All the meats were perfect. Excellent balance of smoke and dry rub. The brisket and the pork even had bark (not usually seen in BBQ restaurants, but always seen at real BBQ competitions). Sauce served on the side by req, was not overpowering and enhanced the flavor of the meats. Tator tots were excellent and I don’t even like tots as a rule. Not sure what was done to make these as good as they were. Slaw was crisp and fresh. The iced tea was excellent and a welcome change from the industrial stuff you get at most places. The key lime pie was the perfect desert after a heavy BBQ meal. It was not too sweet and had a very nice lime flavor and smooth creamy texture. The was the best Q I've had in Florida, and I eat alot of Q. more

Ms Smokey's was a wonderful find. Good, hearty BBQ (don't tell Park Ave, but I've found a new local favorite !) and the prices are great. It's nice to grab a lunch for two under $20. The ribs were tender with a crispy crust and the pulled pork was wonderfully moist.\r \r I think the best surprise was having the staff come out of the kitchen to make sure everything was great, and then to have the manager welcome us after the meal. Great service, great food. We'll definitely be back. more

I wish Elisa"aka" MRS SMOKEY, all the success in the world, however at the same time I have to say shame on you Elisa. Everyone that knows Smokeys from NYC , knows that it was me , Josh Lewin , that created literally all of it. Fom thw idea to the research and creation of ALL the recipes and cooking techniques. I came up with the name , the names instead of numbers and I won all the awards and contests. Like I said , I wish you great success, but how dare you take credit for my creation and achievements?\r Josh Lewin "aka" MR SMOKEY more

I wish Elisa AKA Mrs Smokey, all the success in the world. My problem however is that she, didn't create in any way shape or form the Smokeys in NYC, that she now takes complete credit for. Shame on you Elisa. I created Smokeys. From the name, to the recipes, to the awards. Anybody who new Smokeys in NYC knows this to be a fact. Like I said I wish you great success, just don't take credit for my creation.\r Josh Lewin " AKA " MR. SMOKEY! more

Stopped in for lunch. Love the smokey smell when you walk in, that's how you know it's real! Lunch special for $8 was great, a mound of pulled pork on a roll Cole slaw and a drink. Tasted the medium and hot sauces, and decided on the hot, despite warnings that "hot is painful". If you like heat and flavor, go for the hot!! The Cole slaw was a good balance to the heat, and 10 minutes later my lips are still warm. Parking is tight, so be careful, but definitely find this place! more

Just had my 4th meal at Mrs. Smokeys. As much as I wanted to try something different than my previous 3 visits, I could not resist the urge to get the Backyard BBQ Salad again. Loved it even more than the first time if that's even possible, had some more crispy pieces of BBQ brisket this time, which was excellent. I also tried the Smoked Chicken Noodle soup for the first time, and it was very delicious with nice big chunks of tasty chicken. My friend thoroulgy enjoyed his Pulled Pork and BBQ Brisket combination platter with mac-n-cheese and beans, not a drop left on his plate ;) Check out their website for the full menu and more info http://www.mrssmokeys.com more

I cannot tell you how excited I am that Mrs. Smokey's is returning to Palm Beach. This is the best BBQ food I have ever had! The mild sauce is absolutely delicious with a touch of sweetness. For you spicy lovers out there, the medium and hot are right up your alley. And I cannot say enough about the meat and sides. The ribs are fall off the bone and perfect with the sauce and the homemade sides are unbelievable. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Can't wait!! more
