Mr. Handyman answers my email inquiries right away and get back to me every time. They answered with details what they had to do. They took down the ceiling in my basement to get into the plumbing to fix the heating system. They did what they said they would and came when they promised. They were great! Mr. Handyman did some wood on the front of my house. It needed some replacing, and they came and it was very good! They showed up, very prompt, and told me what they were going to do. The company was to open up a wall they sent a guy out who had no clue what he was doing. When he figured it out and went shopping he bought the wrong stuff had to go back and buy the correct item using paid time. Brought a second guy back with him at an extra charge. Aftrr 12 plus hours they finished the job but it was not done correctly nor did it look decent RESPONSE FROM Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG: Very sorry that we were unable to satisfy this customer, but it was not for lack of trying. The wall that we opened was a load bearing wall. The customer reported that she was very pleased with the work that we did to structurally support the wall (which took 8 hours), but very displeased with the trim work that we did when we put it back together. Since the trim work took 4 hours, I offered to send another technician for four hours to re-do that work. After accepting that solution Ms. Parsons called with two more concerns - one was that the work was still not complete and the other was to point out that on the first call the technician had a helper, but I only sent one guy on the return trip. I sent her a check to reimburse for four hours of helper time (as she pointed out, I neglected to fill in the amount - so yes, I am very glad that the customer is honest). So the disagreement boils down to the fact that there is more work to do. I pointed out that I had reimbursed her for the four hours of trim work (four hours of replacement labor for the tech and a refund on the helper). So if she wanted more work done, she would have to pay. She felt like the amount she paid was sufficient (because of the structural issue, it was an expensive project) and that we should come back and finish it to her satisfaction at no cost. We charge by the hour, not by the project. To say we "left the work undone" simply means that there is more work to do. We did not represent to her that we would get everything done in 4 hours, 8 hours or 12 hours. We addressed her legitimate concern about the quality of workmanship promptly and fairly. I'm very sorry that this solution was not acceptable to her. We stand behind our work,(as we did in this case), but as a small, family owned business, we cannot afford to give away services for free. more

Mr. Handyman is very responsive, professional, and reliable. The handyman we had showed up right on time with a great attitude. He tackled a long list of tasks that included installing some shelves, fixing a fence, and more. He was very efficient and charged a pretty reasonable rate. Mr. Jennings arrived on time, we went over the repairs to be done. Mr. Jennings was professional, the work done was a ceiling drywall replacement and bathroom shower wall tile repair. He worked efficiently, neatly, had me check the work at each juncture. Explained the processes and cleaned up everything once he was done. My experience with Mr. Handyman was fantastic. Our handyman arrived with a positive attitude and lots of knowledge. He fixed various things around our kitchen (including a ceiling fan, some drawers, etc.) and completed everything with precision. Dealing with Mr. Handyman was the smoothest commercial transaction that I've ever gone through. The owner received my initial call and rearranged the crew's schedule to accommodate mine which meant sending a technician out on a Saturday morning. My technician, Dennis, was very competent, knowledgeable, and a really decent guy. He worked his $@!#% off and did a wonderful job tackling all of the tasks at hand. He completed some tricky carpentry work around replacing some box bay windows around my house that included yanking out some rotten wood. He also fixed a minor plumbing issue, a lamp, and some electrical work. He was very professional and wasted no time, getting the work done within six hours. We had a railing installed in our downstairs stairs. It matches well with our railing on the older staircase and looks like it's been there from the beginning. I had a great first-time experience using Mr. Handyman. There was a clear discussion between the handyman and I about what needed to be done and he completed all of the repairs quickly and skillfully. He mostly did exterior painting, laid a peel-and-stick tile floor, and also discovered some carpentry work that needed to be done which he did for me. He was very courteous and hardworking.
