Dryer broke, so called around to get a rough idea of what it would cost to repair. Found a few GEMS, unfortunately Mr. Appliance was not one of them. They actually HUNG UP on me...

Depsite rrrd30's review I decided to use Mr Appliance based on all the more legitimate looking reviews (he has 1 review and is marketing the competition lol). The folks on the phone were pleasant and the tech was out the same day and had the parts he needed to get the repair done. 5 stars for Mr. A! more

DON'T USE: N of river use Fleshman, S of river use T&T 8/11/2011

Dryer broke, so called around to get a rough idea of what it would cost to repair. Found a few GEMS, unfortunately Mr. Appliance was not one of them. They actually HUNG UP on me! Me: ""I got a quote from Sears for @$200, do you think it would be in this price range."" Mr. A: ""I'm just the call center, I can't help you, you'll have to wait to see what the repairman says, and also if you don't agree to their price, you'll still have to pay them for coming to your house"" Me: ""Thanks, but I think I'll look around so more"" Mr. A: ""CLICK""!!! GEMS: North of the river: Fleshman: 419-9550 South of river: T&T: 282-2638 High End: Long's Appliances: 442-5562 ALL of the above were helpful, friendly and didn't mind giving a general price idea of repair vs new. Use them NOT MR. APPLIANCE! more

Great Service! 12/10/2010

This is the second time I've used Mr. Appliance. First time it was for the frig, this time it was the washing machine. Jacob Deluna showed up on time and literally within a few seconds of me telling him the washing machine issue, he diagnosed the problem. I was amazed! He had the part he needed and minutes later the washer was back to running. Thank you, Jacob. I can always count on Mr. Appliance for great, friendly service and saving me hundreds of dollars. more

Getting the job done 12/7/2010

There were some glitches due to parts and tools but our technician, Jacob Deluna, had a ""can do"" attitude. He drove across town at 4:20 (about a 40 minute drive to his destination) to pick up a part and then returned to fix my dryer. He was polite, knowledgeable and professional. And now I can spend the evening doing laundry!! more

Couldn't be happier! 11/23/2010

Called Mr. Appliance to determine if I should fix my oven or buy a new one. I explained that I needed an appointment two days later and it had to be completed by noon. Wednesday morning, Jacob Deluna, called and was at my house around 8 a.m. Within 30 minutes he solved AND fixed the problem. For a very reasonable price, I have a working oven with a one-year warranty on what he fixed! I definitely recommend Jacob Deluna at Mr. Appliance and will call them first with any future appliance repair needs! more

Excellent Service 6/4/2010

Mr. Appliance is so much different that other service companies I've dealt with. It was refreshing that a real human being answered the phone and she was pleasant, professional and very helpful. The technician was also very professional - impressive that he brought and used his own door mat! I would highy recommend Mr. Appliance. Rip off 12/10/2009

Called to have my oven fixed. The tech thought it was the igniter, put a new one on and it still didn't work. Told me it was the safety valve and to replace it with parts and labor would be over $300. I declined. Was going to buy a new stove, then decided to call Appliance Connection. Came out and took the stove completely apart. Turns out the valve was clogged. Cleaned it out and voila my oven works for less than half what Mr. Appliance was going to charge. Did not need new parts at all. The tech never even mentioned the valve could be clogged. Rip off big time. Cons: Misdiagnoses the problem and way overcharges. more

Honest, Fast 10/15/2009

My washer was not working, I called to set an apt. to have it fixed they where honest to tell me that it was going to cost me more to fix than buying one. Thanks for being honest most appliance shops would have went ahead and fixed it. Pros: Heros more

Professional Service 10/12/2009

Mr. Appliance was a recommended shop to repair our 2 year old Thermador oven. An oven that should not have had any problems! Even though the double oven was no longer under warranty, Thermador agreed to send us the parts for free (no joke - almost $400 worth of parts). The labor to fix the oven was $207.74 - not the least expensive, but, we needed to go with a recommended Thermador repair shop. Both visits (once for the diagnosis, second for the repair) were very professional. I would recommend them! Pros: professional and honest Cons: a bit pricey more

I called Mr. Appliance when my icemaker stopped making ice. They came out early the next day and were able to diagnose the problem, had the part readily available and complete the repair very quickly. I called with a dishwasher problem at the end of the day and they were able to schedule me for the following afternoon. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The work was done within 30 min. I did think the price was a little on the high side. All and all though, I was very satisfied with their service and will recommend them and use them again in the future. Great service! 9/10/2009

Came home from work to find my refrigerator not cooling so called around and couldn't find anyone to come out right away. Called Mr Appliance Thursday morning at 8:15 and they had someone over by 10:15 am. The service tech, Richard, was very friendly and was able to complete the work then and there. I am definitely calling them when i need other work done! Pros: quick response time more

Called ahead like they said, nice man, used shoe protectors which was great just had carpets cleaned. diagnosed my washer and gave me a quote (kinda high). all working great now and kids have clean cloths. Although price was high i did get a year warranty and he was able to fix it right then. Will use again. Pros: didn't have to mis work Cons: price bit high, but no horrible more

My fridge wasn't cold. Called Mr Appliance, they were able to send someone out later that day. The tech called before coming, nice touch. The tech was friendly, helpful, and knew what he was doing. Mr Appliance of Austin is the HERO!! 7/20/2009

We had just come back from vacation to find our freezer on the fritz. Called Mr. Appliance and they were out the same day, gave me a quote and fixed it right then and there. The tech knew his business and was very friendly (and kinda cute:) I cant believe they warranty thier repair work for a year parts and labor. Ive had a lot of home service work done and ive NEVER heard of that. I wish more companies performed like MR APPLIANCE!! Pros: Prompt, proffesional service! Horrible! Overcharged for ineffective repair 4/5/2009

This company charged $350 to fix the icemaker in my refrigerator. They used the wrong replacement part and the icemaker doesn't work correctly; it keeps randomly turning itself off, so I rarely have enough ice. They have been unresponsive to my attempts to have them correct the problem. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: tech arrived on time more
