Morton's Foodies can be really stuck up. In the quest for trying to show-off how insightful or adventurous...

I often frequent steakhouses and I was excited to try Morton's. Both my ribeye and my friend's cowboy ribeye (both ordered medium rare) came out more than just slightly charred. N...

If you're a steak lover . . . 1/16/2006

this is where you need to go at least once. I met my boyfriend's parents for the first time at the restaurant on La Cienaga, and it was very intimidating. We had to dress up, we had a fancy table, there are waitresses wandering around with doilies on their heads, and the meat cutters with their trays of meat, and they're wearing metals around their necks . . . I also went to the one downtown once, which is a lot more low key. more

Delicious food, great service and decor, fair prices 7/27/2005

Arnie Morton's is a top-notch steakhouse, and the Burbank location is no exception. Located between Walt Disney Studios, NBC, Warner Bros. Studios and not too far from Universal Studios, lunchtime is crowded with studio execs happy to finally have some alternative to the commissaries on the studio lots. The decor is classic steakhouse--dark wood walls, roomy booths and widely-spaced tables with comfy chairs. The service is expert---servers are very familiar with the entire menu and very flexible about making changes to dishes. Dinner prices are normal steakhouse--about $30-$35 for meat entrees. Lunch prices seem extremely reasonable, with many entrees available in the mid-teen range. A favorite is the Chicken Christopher--two chicken breasts breaded and baked with a delicious garlic butter sauce on top, on a bed of rice--it is one of the yummiest dishes I have ever tasted. Also, the spinach salad is excellent, as is the sliced steak salad. Of course, all the beef and lamb entrees are superb. Side dishes and desserts are also top-notch--you really can't go wrong here. more

  • In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.
