Large, spacious bar 5/9/2011

This place is very large and roomy with multiple bars. You can sit inside or out. Mixed drinks are pricey, but made good. I have been in the back building on the upper level during summer and it is extremely HOT. They have a fan running blowing right in your face which is quite unpleasant, but really, is there no a/c up there, seriously? You may as well sit outside if you want to be hot at least you'll get some air and breath. It's crazy. That is my one and only complaint about this place other than it being a little dirty, especially the restroom-yikes. I love this place other than that..and least there are plenty of other places to sit and hangout where you won't be uncomfortable cause of the temperature. more

Interesting huge Brewpub 4/24/2011

The place is huge with pool tables and seating outside, but this is about happy hour draughts of the the wheat beer. I think this maybe one of the best beers made in St Louis.\r \r The place is pretty empty for my taste, but the wheat beer was great. more

Great meal and experience. 3/6/2011

After walking out of a terrible experience a Jakes Steak - we walked into Morgan Street Brewery - to a warm, inviting atmosphere. Food was great and the kids loved coloring on the tables. The service was friendly and attentive. The brew burger was killer as was the Amber ale. Great choice for dining on the landing. more

awful restaurant, terrible service 9/20/2009

This restaurant has terrible service. Do not take a group of more than 2 there or you wont get seated. I went there last night with a group of 11 to eat and have a good time. This was quickly stopped by the manager... We waited over an hour and a half to be seated and when we sat ourselves the manager came over and yelled at us for sitting at a dirty table... like it was our fault that the table was dirty?? We were then escorted out by police. was that necessary? NO. all we wanted at that point in time was to be served and that did not happen. I'd like to point out that the manager's name is Carla Green and she is the one who yelled at us and called police. If you dare to frequent this establishment, beware the shrewd hag and her non-customer service oriented ideas of how to run a restaurant. I can only complain that the beer was over priced ($6) and that I'm positive the food would have been below average... Goood luck if you decide to take a group there.\r -unimpressed Pros: nothing Cons: the manager, the service, the prices more

After an hour and 20 minute wait, were told to leave!!! 9/19/2009

Party of 11adult, responsible women, ready to spend some time and money on a celebration, instead were treated like criminals. After an hour and 20 minute wait, we asked if we could sit at two vacated tables. The manager snapped viciously at us, then called the Police to force us to leave. Two people had just ordered beverages and they were actually taken out of their hands. I've never been treated like this in an eating estblishment like this before, I was shocked and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Cons: Unprofessionalism more

Best multiple bars and atmospheres place 8/24/2009

Sidewalk cafe/resturant/bar on the first floor then pool hall upstairs and patio. THEN, it keeps going with many small personable bars and a large night club on the weekends. The size of the place is amazing. Buy a drink at the first bar start exploring. This is a brewery with their own very good seasonal beers. Try one. Warning- police patroled 21+ zone/ pedestrian only streets on the weedend nights. Pros: multiple drinking/ eating spots Cons: packed on Saturday nights more

Food was good - Service was terrible 10/8/2007

My friends and I recently visited Morgan Street. Our experience was pretty terrible. The server was awful - he forgot salads that we ordered with our appetizers, brought out warm beer he blamed on the ""brewing process"" (and acted confused when we requested new beers) and worst of all - forgot my fiance's entree and only noticed as the rest of our entrees arrived at the table, he apologized and said that he would have that fixed right away - 20 minutes later he brought out food, but not what my fiance had ordered. Our server neglected our drinks and very rarely stopped by our table. The support staff - bussers and the kitchen staff - were extremely helpfull and visited our table more than our actual server. At the end of the meal we requested to speak to a manager to express our concerns. We did not get an apology - just back talk, but they did take off 2 beers from the total.\r \r Overall, the food was great (when we got it and it was actually what we ordered) and the supporting staff (bussers and kitchen) were very nice and helpful. Our service from the waiter was terrible and the management staff was rude. Pros: Good food, good support staff (bussers) Cons: T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E waiter more

good beer 7/30/2006

We went for the beer and were pleased. Had a flight of their brews. All were light tasting, even the stout, which was nice since it was literally 100 degrees outside. Stayed for an appetizer of duck wonton, which was tasty but a bit heavier than I had anticipated. I think it would have paired better with a steamed dumpling than a fried wonton, but that's just my preference. My spouse had the caesar salad with a crabcake and was quite pleased. I went for the salad with fried chicken. The greens were fine but the chicken a little dry. Overall, not a bad dining experience. Our server, Celia, was great. The bathroom could be a problem, as there was only one and the door lock was difficult to operate. Pros: the beer Cons: the bathroom more
