Racist comments made during my shopping experience-- My husband and I were shopping around to buy a new furniture set we visited the Stark street store a few weeks ago and were greeted by warm and friendly sales managers. We found a sofa and love seat set that we wanted to purchase we decided to go to the store today to take advantage of the sales they were offering once again we were greeted in a friendly manner and all was going well until a racist comment was made by one of the sales representatives. My husband happen to inquire about a recliner chair that was on sale at a reduced price when he asked if they had the recliner in a darker color to match the furniture set we were going to purchase the sales rep replied ""If we threw in a dark colored blanket with a bucket of chicken would you be interested in buying the recliner?"" Needless to say both my husband and I were STUNNED. When my husband angrily replied ""Hey that wasn't called for and you said that because I'm black didn't You?.... hold on it gets better.... the sales rep responded by saying Yes! \r \r We spoke to another African American sales rep informing him of what just occurred and even he was uncomfortable while another sales rep started laughing as he overheard my husband repeat the racist comment that had been said. We left the store immediately because I refuse to spend my money at a business that does not respect me as a person African American. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS they need to be held responsible for the racist and oppressive comments and business practices. more

Store service and sales in their store was fine. The problem is the actual furniture is really bad. I have had 15 seam repairs on cushions and pillows, mostly cushions. Some of the seam let-outs (not tears by our use) are 24 inches in length. I should have just taken this back and demanded a refund when the seams split after 2 months of use. We are not hard on furniture. No stains or rips by us, just failed seams. I cannot believe the seams failed on pillows! The furniture is very creaky and shows visual bending when you are sitting on it on the external frame. I never realized I could get such bad furniture when paying real money, real prices. Mor did come out to our house for the repair after 2 months on cushions. We are at about 16 months now and they made me take all of the cushions and pillows requiring seam repairs to their warehouse for repair rather than sending out another repair person. I will not buy anything else from Mor and I will not let any of our friends buy from them either. I have bought cheaper furniture before, but I thought I was getting decent stuff. I did not get super low prices on this stuff such as to cause suspicion that it was fall apart furniture. I am sure we will have to replace this large set at 24 months of use or so. more

My husband and I were looking for a living room set and family room sectional. A lot of the other furniture stores didnt really have what we were looking for plus were way to expensive. We read the reviews online about Mor and thought we'd at least check them out. Greeted with a smile and fresh cookies, we browsed the store. We didnt feel pressured or followed like some other store workers do. I HATE THAT! Found exactly what we were looking for. Set the delivery date, got it on time if not early and was set up and ready to go in minutes. I will definetly be going back in the future! more

Terrific! 3/24/2011

Well, I had a fantastic experience there! I stopped in with my Mother just to look around. Dealt with a sales guy named Keith that treated us with a great deal of respect. We shopped for a bit, then left to measure the space (borrowed his tape measure), then returned and purchased an electric recliner. It was delivered a couple of days later and placed in the space Mom wanted it to be. No drama, no bait and switch. Just a simple transaction. Like buying at Wal Mart, but the salespeople have all of their teeth! Seemless transaction actually. I wonder about the other comments about Mor on here. Does it just rain on their heads? more

Delta Park store looks great. The salesman was very nice. The manager tells you anything to make a sale. He will even give you his word and put it in writing. However, his word and signature mean nothing. more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! When you walk in the store they are very friendly. AFTER you buy the furniture, don't expect any service. Our salesperson typed in our name incorrectly on the invoice. Then he typed in a fake phone # and address. Because he couldn't take five seconds to type in our real phone number, we couldn't pick the item up. With our name spelled wrong, and with no phone # or address, they couldn't find our order at the warehouse. We wasted hours trying to pick up our item. Then when we finally got home, there were no instructions on how to put it together. The person at the warehouse had taken one chair out of the box (they came two to a box) and gave us our chair without the instructions. We called to try to obtain the instructions, and quickly found out that they really don't care about their customers once they have your money. We still can't get the directions, so we still have a chair in pieces in the middle of our floor. And they let us know they certainly didn't care about the wasted hours trying to pick up our item because of the salesperson's error typing in the order. There are plenty of other furniture stores with the same prices that care about their customers. Go to one of them. I will be buying more furniture in the near future, but it WON'T be from Mor! more

Bad Sales & Marketing 10/29/2010

I liked Mor Furniture, but one thing I learnt about their marketing strategy is they put sale prices on the products, and when you want to order, they say it would be weeks to get it due to high demand. No matter how much you want the furniture, you automatically don't want to order and choose to wait. Two days later, the price went up, but they said I could pick it up in a week! How could the inventory change in two days! To me, this is a dirty way to do business. The sale rep didn't even tell me that the price would go up in two days. I ended up paying more coz I wanted the furniture so much, but I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM ANYMORE! more
