Tuesday Glam! 10/26/2006

Moomia is a really great place as it is whether you want ambiance for a hip date or you want a classy night out with your girls. Tuesdays are a great night to go though, for budding designers or if you just want to unwind on a weekday and hear some good music! My favorite thing about this place is that you can fill your hookah with any liquid -- I filled my lemon-lime hookah with orange juice and it was sweet, wonderful heaven. The staff is super friendly, the girls are hot and it's definetly a hidden hotspot that everyone needs to check out :)\r Next time I'm checking out those martinis. I hear they have something awesome going on for Halloween too more

Fashion Tuesdays! 10/6/2006

Tuesday nights at Moomia are amazing. Not only is there a fabulous crowd of socilaites, business executives, and celebrities but they also offer designer fashions and jewelry right in the club! The atmosphere is amazing and after you are done mingling with the who's who of NYC you can go shopping! Defintley a great place to hang out and drink martinis. Also check out the downstairs room that is more secluded! Great for girls looking for a fun night on the town. Defintley recommended to everyone in New York. more

I can't believe people haven't found this place. This egyptian theme bar/lounge is hot with beautiful people. They have awesome martinis. Hooka pipe...any flavor you want...\r THis is an awesome place to check out...especially the mummy downstairs.\r Pros: Great exclusive menu of martinis Cons: that others dont know about this place more

Last Friday I was at Jimson party I didnt know what Jimson was,but I found out that Jimson means get high from the grass.I didnt see any grass over there ,but I've got high from the party.I saw a lot of beautiful girls and DJ was spinning realy good house music.Waitresses were very cute ,not mention about how good service they were giving.Hot place,not pretentious.I will certenatly tell all of my friends about it. Girls party!! 9/18/2006

A friend of mine organized a party for girls about a week ago, where it was my first time in here. The vibe was really good and martinis quite tasty! In about an hour the place was full of girls, then a male striptease dancer gave us a hell of a show! I had so much fun! Later on guys joined us and the party kept on going!! I highly recommend this place. Oh, by the way celebrity TV star Mama Gina was dancing on the bar, seemingly she was having a really good time. Pros: Celebrity Mama Gina dancing on the bar!! I went to this new place Moomia last friday, I was actually impressed!! Cool, stylish place in egyptian style, I dont know what party was it, but the music was really good and there was cool people, a lot of model looking girls aswell!! Hot russian night again!! 8/21/2006

I went to this russian night again on saturday! Honestly, it gets better and better!! Very beautiful russian chiks)) dj was spinning good music and it was pretty crowded, but there was some space for dancing aswell!! At midnight, this beautiful belly dancer was heating up the crowed, her se-xy movements and body blew up my mind!! Some people were complaining about the service few weeks ago, to be honest, I think the service got better than before!! There was four cute bartenders making drinks and waitrasses all over the place with their cute little outfits. If u go out only to get a perfect service go to a five star hotell and be bored.. Cool crowed, Celebrities!!! Hot drinks!! 7/28/2006

I've been in this place few times. The place is awsome. Last saturday it was very busy, there was a lot of people, but the crowed was rocking. Someone is complaining in here that bartenders are too slow. I realized that all martinis they are making are from scratch, they are using fresh limes and lemons, fruit purees, not like other bars, I guess that is why it makes bar slower on busy nights! I saw some faces who looks very familiar, I guess some famous people.. that was hot! Pros: Cool crowed, awsome music Cons: If you want to get five star service, go on slower nights! more

Hot russian girls!!! 7/28/2006

My friends invited me to this russian party last saturday, which was at Moomia. I was pretty impressed by this place. It was very crowded. The thing which blew me off was that it was full of these beautiful russian girls. There was more girls than guys, which is rare in nyc! The girls were so hot that I got lost, one girl was hotter than the other one. I will defenetly go to this party again! Forget about Hampton, it's better stay in the city!! Pros: Hot russian girls! Terrible customer service 7/26/2006

This place has a really cool theme, decent music and a laidback feel. I was at this bar on saturday night for a friends birthday. It took us more than 1/2 hour to get our 1st round of drinks! And There were 2 bartenders and just one waitress in the entire bar on a saturday night! The bartender was really slow and dull! She was rolling her eyes at people ordering drinks...as if they were just creating more work for her! You'd think she appreciates people buying drinks from her so that she makes a lot in tips! \r \r I definitely do not plan on going here ever again and would recommend that you think about it too. Bad Service But Fun! 7/18/2006

I don't know why people said that their servers were great. Yes, they are really nice, but like one of the reviewers said before, it took them a few times to get our orders right. She had to come back twice to make sure. Also, it took about an hour for us to receive our bill. I also didn't think the prices of the food was worth it. If the prices of the food were a lot cheaper, then I would think it was worth it.\r \r I agree with what someone said, just come here for the hookah and drinks. Then, you will have a great experience. Pros: Hookah, Drinks, Belly Dancers Cons: SERVICE!!! more

Went to Moomia to there Egiptian Fantasy party .Me and my friends had such a good time.The place is realy hot.Waitresses wearing very sxy Egiptian outfit ofancient times.The music was cool,I can""t believe they play mostly house and 90's which is really rare now days in Ny every place you go they play hip-hop like there is no other music exist.Finaly one place take a risk not to be one of them.The lay out of the place is really astonishing,real lounge without the question.You can relax on the sofas like apharoand smoke a pipe.The crowd was a real New Yorkers,my GD bridge and tunnel hang out in meat packet district.I spot some celebrities while I was there but the biggest surprise of all was seeing Johny Depp at this unique place.Now it is my favorite place in the city.Go,Moomia!!!!! I had my 27th bday party here with about 45 attendees and had a wonderful time .Moomia was very helpful with accomodating our specific needs even the bday cake made specialy for me and was very gracious to all of my guests.I have been back to this place couple more times and always leave this place with a good mood.They have fabulous martinis.Hookahs expensive but who cares when you sit in the Egiptian piramid and chill out. more

If you like exotic martinis or vodka cocktails ,then Moomia is a perfect place for you and your date on the slow night.Be sure to bring your wallet there signature martini is expensive but very good.The service is prompt. On the weekends service is a little bit slow, but when you see how busy place is it""s understandable.Dont bring your date on the weekend the place is too crowded. I stop by at Moomia just for a drink with my friends, this place I""m telling you somthing special for New York city I never see anithing like it.This place has very unique design hided from every body and surprisenly its not every thing what they have .Very attractive Russian girls serve magic martinis which knock you down after 3 of them they are prisey but they worth it.Food is realy cheap and tasty.Advice for the guys, dont bring your date if you want to flirt with Russian girls .Definitly its my future place to hang out. more

Well we went there to celebrate my friends b-day. The staff had no clue what they were doing, some couldn't understand English, they sat us in a private party, so we were moved once and then we asked to be moved like 3 other times. There were plenty of open seats available but the waitress had to ask her manager to move us each time. \r \r At the beginning of the night we opened up a tab w/ the waitress and when we got the bill they added some other party's bill to our tab! I thought the staff should atleast ask the person who opened up the tab! \r \r Oh, the hookahs are overated and the belly dancer was entertaining but nothing spectacular. I've seen better. \r \r Overall, I've been to better hookah bars. Pros: plenty of parking Cons: in the middle of nowhere more

When I first walked in with my friends, the atmosphere was fabulous! I absolutely loved the decor, and felt like I was in another world. We had fun with the hookah, but please be aware of how much it costs! The food wasn't particularly all that great, and we thought the prices were riculous! The service was awful. To be honest, the server was REALLY nice and polite. However, we had to reorder a number of times; she kept forgetting what we wanted. Not to mention that we HARDLY saw her, and we had to go around looking for her to make those orders. It took about an hour just to receive our check. I think this is a great place just for drinks at the bar or just to get the hookah, but I highly recommend against ordering any food or drinks at a table. AWESOME PARTY 6/5/2006

I stopped by Moomia on a rainy Thursday last week and discovered a hot Latin dance party going on full force inside. I'm pretty bad at salsa, but thankfully the promoter who is a professional teacher/performer offered me to show a few steps. Fun crowd and fantastic martinis more than made up for the horrible weather! Pros: Music, People, Parking more
