I take my car to Monro in Owego anytime it needs service..The quality of service at this location is second to none....Everytime I have been in there with car trouble the manager and mechanics take the time to show and explain what is wrong and what needs to be done to correct it , I even went in on a sunday at closing time for them when I heard a weird noise from my brakes and they took the time to take a look and let me know everything was fine it was just brake dust making the noise I was hearing.....I will continue to do business with them and recommend them to all my friends.....Thanks more

Will never return to the Monro at this location, and most likely any location. Out of the two times I've been here I haven't yet had a good experience. First they tried to fail my inspection saying that my wipers didn't work. I quickly showed them that they were perfectly functional as soon as you close the hood... On my last experience I went for an alignment during which they almost had my car fall off of the lift then completely bent my door as it caught on the lift arm. The store staff was nice but that doesn't make me trust them to work on any of my vehicles. Corporate customer service have got to be the most rude team I've had to deal with. Overall I'd recommend steering clear of this place. more

Very Poor Service: Please do not go to this establishment. On 8/28/2011, my son brought his car in to be repaired. It was a disaster dealing with these people and the manager was as bad as the non-skilled mechanics. more

I went here to get my inspection almost a year ago. Everyone seemed very nice and knowledgeable. They found something wrong with my car and told me they could replace it but it'd cost me nearly $400 and about 2 more hours since it was coming from Binghamton. After everything was all said and done, I had to come back a week or two later to have them fix a loose part that they never tightened. Then about a month down the road my car's transmission fluid was completely gone in my car... Turns out they never put any IN my car to begin with! So I had to travel back to them to fix that. Now after my car ran out of transmission fluid on the road, AGAIN! and it had to be towed home, I find out why. When Monroe messed around under my hood to ""fix"" my transmission fluid line, they placed the nriew part ght up against my radiator. Thank you Monroe Muffler in Owego for telling me you ""fixed"" something, making me pay out the nose for it when really you didn't fix anything. My transmission fluid was the problem in the first place and it's been a problem ever since you ""fixed"" it. Don't ""replace"" something, ""fix"" it, and then make me pay for your mistakes. I'm STILL paying for your mistakes. This has been ridiculous. I won't ever take my car back to them. As much as I want to go and yell at them about the damage they've done to both my car AND my wallet, I refuse to return to them. This was just beyond ridiculous. Do not recommend this establishment unless you want to kill your wallet. more
