Had so much fun! 11/13/2010

I had a great experience here! I got married in April and found a gorgeous dress in that fit my budget. My fitting consultant was great, and the owner made sure the alterations were perfect. The staff made me feel comfortable and were super patient. The icing on the cake was when my mom found a fabulous mother of the bride dress there too! It is definitely the place to find a wedding dress in Chattanooga! more

Great experience 7/19/2009

Good: Stephanie remembered what my daughter liked and called her when it went on a good sale. They helped me get my dress for the wedding when I delayed the decision. They were always pleasant. The only time I didn't get extraordinary service was when the store was busy and I had to wait my turn. I have a physical disability. The store is accessible and the staff was willing and ready to help me do everything from finding a dress to putting on shoes.. Bad: I would like to have had more choices for moms who are overweight. It was difficult and expensive to find something flattering and comfortable on a 60 year old lady.. Improvements: a larger inventory of suits and the like.. Other: I gladly recommend shopping with these fine ladies.. more

Be careful!!! 7/11/2008

I went to Monica's while visiting family in Chattanooga. My sister and daughters were with me to begin looking for a dress for me to wear to my daughter's wedding in October. With 14 weeks before the wedding I thought that I would have time to order a dress and get it in before the wedding. When I began to try dresses on I was told by the "consultant" that it was too late to order a dress even if I paid for a "rush" on the order. I was taken aback by this -- she encouraged me to select something and buy it from the rack. After much agony I selected a dress that was too large and not the color that I really liked. I paid a deposit of half of the cost and scheduled a time to return to Chattanooga (31/2 hours from home) to have the dress fitted. After I paid and she was handing me the receipt she took it back and said, "Oh, could you sign this" and I did after having taken my glasses off. I did not sleep well that night (Saturday) primarily because I felt rushed to make a decision and the next day I drove home. On Monday, I called several bridal shops in the area and they told me that I definitely had time to order a dress. I called the consultant at Monica's and explained that I was not happy with the dress and that I had checked with several salons in the area and they assured me that they could order a dress for me in time....she said that she had to check with the manager and call me back. She called back and told me that all sales were final and that it stated that on the receipt which I had signed. I asked to talk with the manager and he was rude to me and asked me why I bought a dress that I did not like!! I explained to him what had occurred and he just said "you could have paid a fee for a rush order (I told him that I was told otherwise) and we've already called to place another order for that dress." I called other salons and they told me that they give clients 48-72 hours to change their minds. I would never buy anything from this salon because: 1) they refused to refund my money even though I contacted them within one working day AND 2) the fact that I was misled about placing an order and about the policy which was not explained to me. more
