Everything about this restaurant is great- their sushi is delicious and reasonably priced, their udons are big and cheap and their bentos are huge!...

Try getting the bill before your food arrives. This is what happened to me last time I was there for lunch. The food is just plain, and their success has gotten to their heads thu...

Yummy and Cheap 4/1/2006

Of course all Japanese people say that the Japanese food there is not authentic. For the people who don't know any better, Miyake is better than those fast food sushi and teriyaki chicken from to-go tins. Their prices are very cheap and they give a very good amount of food. I don't really care about the service, but the service is decent. No one is rude and no one is disorganized and oblivious. more

Delicious Japanese Food, Excellent Service 9/9/2005

The service is great here and it's fun how all the chefs go "EY" when you arrive. The food is great and the prices are decent. There is a large variety of sushi and other Japanese favorites such as tempura, teriyaki, sashimi, etc. I love sitting at the sushi boat because there is also a huge selection of different types of sushi and I get exposure to different kinds that I generally wouldn't be sure of what they are. more

Perfect score for Miyake 7/1/2005

Miyake is the best Japanese in town. For lunch, get the #5 bento --- Miso soup, salad, rice, teriyaki chicken, 4 piece california roll, veggie and shrimp tempura. Well under 10 bucks. INCLUDING tax and tip!!! That's right. Downright incredible deal. The food is delicious and the waiters are OK (not bad enough to knock this down to 4 stars for me!). LOVE the huge sushi selection and the sushi bar there too. I have never been here for dinner but I assume it is as good as for lunch with the prices only a bit higher. Still very easy to eat for under $15, no question. I wish my office was closer to Miyake so I could go at least once a week! You will NOT regret going here for lunch, promise!! more

Nice 6/22/2005

I have ate in Miyake for years, and i go there whenever i want japanese sushi. The service is good, most waiters are friendly. It's better to go there during lunch because it is cheaper and you get the same thing. I like their sushi roll because i don't eat raw fish, and Miyake is the best place for cooked shshi, such as their california roll. Six to eight roll cuts for just 5 or 6 dollars. pretty good for me. THe bento is fine and fresh too. Compare to some other japanese restaurant, i would like to recommand Miyake . ps. sit at the table! I won't recommand you to sit at the bar for this restarurant. more
