I am from New York City and have been looking for NY style egg rolls and these are as close as you can get outside New York, in addition to the egg rolls, which are the best in Austin, the rest of the food is just like all the little store front Chinese takeout restaurants in NYC. The food is cooked fresh when you order it at the counter, nothing fancy just good American Chinese food with dishes like the lunch specials that come with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and a drink. (Moo Goo Gai Pan, Tangy & Spicy Chicken, and Pepper Steak are $5.99.) The food is served on Styrofoam plates brought to your table. It is also a good value for the money with large portions. Don't forget to get all their dipping sauces as everyone is excellent. The even have duck sauce which I haven't found in any Austin restaurants. I don' t care about ordering at the counter or eating from Styrofoam, it's all about the food. I would highly recommend Ming's
Pros: Great food cooked to order, off street parking, friendly service, piano player
